Their family feels complete again with Helena and Gintoki among them. He felt relieved. Although he was prepared that they might have to stay in their respective realms, he realized that their realm was here with family, more than anything else. He laughed and talked with his father feeling glad they could just have fun and eat cake on a Father’s Day.* Happy Father’s Day Gin dad and welcome back home! @shiroyassha

His eyes fixed on the hellish portal that threatened to spew out the spawns of hell. He thought of how difficult this choice had been for his mother and if she were to return to them, he wanted to make sure that she could see, that they could take care of these matters and that she could embrace who she is completely and without any worries.* We’ve got this brothers! MemberMay 16, 2025 at 2:24 pm in reply to: Paradise Rift: LiveOps ArenaThe Ironvale Bastion, a sprawling indoor arena meticulously designed to resemble a medieval fortified town. Cobblestone-textured floors lead to faux-stone buildings reaching two stories high. Digital screens integrated into stone facades serve as mission boards, displaying objectives and player stats. Ivy climbs the towers, hiding strategic vantage points. Banners bearing heraldic symbols flutter from parapets, while artificial fog machines create pockets of shadowy alleyways. The air hums with the faint whir of machinery and the excited chatter of participants.
Yukio, usually calm and analytical, but entering Ironvale Bastion with a surprising level of enthusiasm. He’s dressed in a modified version of the provided rental gear – padded tunic, lightweight helmet, and sturdy boots – along with his own custom-fitted glasses with integrated tactical HUD.
Alistair “Al” an NPC, is a seasoned Ironvale Bastion player known for his cunning strategies and mastery of the “crossbow.” He’s clad in more elaborate, self-modified armor, complete with decorative (but harmless) plates and intricate leather tooling. He has a mischievous glint in his eyes and a worn crossbow strapped to his back. He’s leaned against a wall near the entrance to the arena, observing newcomers.
Yukio, needing a mental break from his exhausting exorcist duties, has decided to try Ironvale Bastion based on a recommendation from his cousin Faustino. He’s never LARP’d or participated in anything quite like this before, but the tactical aspects and potential for strategic thinking intrigued him. Stepping into the arena, he scans his surroundings, his glasses displaying a minimap and points of interest. The sheer scale of the arena and the dedication to the theme are impressive. He grabs the rental crossbow and sling bag of foam bolts.
As he gets acclimated, Yukio spots Alistair leaning against a wall, watching the other players. Alistair notices Yukio’s slightly hesitant demeanor and fresh gear and smiles wryly.
Alistair pushes himself off the wall, a slight creak of leather armor accompanying the movement. He ambles over to Yukio, a friendly though slightly predatory grin on his face. “New blood, eh? Welcome to Ironvale, friend. First time wielding a crossbow, I presume? Don’t worry, everyone misses their first few shots. Name’s Al, and I’m something of a local expert. Need a few pointers, or are you going to charge headfirst into the dragon’s den?”
Yukio looked at Alistair and would smile in a manner that wouldn’t give away his true feelings. He didn’t trust this player who suddently approached him but he figured having someone how knows the game would be better than going in completely unprepared. Besides, Yukio hates losing.
“Hello I’m Yuki, nice to meet you. I would say I’m a bit of a first timer, yes but I’m sure I can manage a weapon or two. I wouldn’t mind a few pointers. ” What Yukio didn’t realize was that gaming, LARPing would feel different. They headed into the training grounds first.
Yukio noticed the training grounds of Ironvale Bastion, a LARP-style game area designed to simulate a medieval siege defense. Targets of varying sizes and distances are scattered about, some stationary, some designed to move erratically. The air smells of woodsmoke and the faintest hint of ozone from the simulated lightning effects.
Yukio lowers the crossbow warily, his gaze assessing Alistair. “Yukio,” he replies, offering a curt nod. He almost declines the offer, instinctively distrustful of unsolicited help. But he recognizes the value in information, especially in a game where the rules are still opaque. “Pointers would be… appreciated. Though I prefer to learn from experience.”
Alistair chuckles, a sound that doesn’t quite reach his eyes. “Experience is painful in Ironvale. Trust me. Alright, first things first. Let’s talk stance. You’re too rigid. Think like you’re bracing against a strong wind…” He spends the next few minutes adjusting Yukio’s posture, explaining the importance of proper grip, and demonstrating the correct aiming technique. He emphasizes the “Pain-safe” limitations. “Remember, these bolts sting, but they’re not actually deadly. Safety first, glory second.”
Yukio listens intently, absorbing the information like a sponge. He asks pointed questions about windage, range estimation, and the specific quirks of the Ironvale crossbows. He’s not just passively receiving advice; he’s dissecting it, analyzing its potential, and searching for weaknesses.
After a few practice shots, guided by Alistair, Yukio’s accuracy begins to improve noticeably. He’s still not hitting the bullseye every time, but his shots are consistently landing within the target area. He then steps back, a flicker of something akin to a smile crossing his face.
“Thank you, Alistair. Your insights were… useful. Now, allow me to demonstrate my progress.”
Yukio then takes aim at a small, rapidly-moving target – a mechanical raven swooping across the training ground. He lines up the shot with practiced ease, holds his breath, and fires. The bolt whistles through the air, striking the raven dead center, sending it spiraling to the ground.
He repeats the shot with another, even more difficult target. A dummy who is placed in the middle of a battlefield simulation. A direct hit to the head.
He turns to Alistair, a hint of challenge in his eyes. “I believe I grasp the fundamentals. Perhaps you could enlighten me on the overall strategy of Ironvale Bastion? The layout, the key defensive positions, the enemy’s likely tactics?”
Alistair is genuinely impressed, though he tries not to show it too much. He raises an eyebrow. “Well now, looks like we have a natural here. You learn fast, kid. Okay, okay, I’m impressed. But hitting stationary targets and mechanical birds is one thing. Doing it under pressure, with twenty screaming orcs breathing down your neck, is another. Still, you’ve earned some intel. Tell you what… I was planning on hitting the north wall. The catapults are a real pain in the ass there. Come with me, and I’ll show you how things really work in Ironvale. I’ll need someone covering my back while I deal with those catapults. Deal?”
“Deal!” He forces himself to smile but Yukio cringes a bit at being called kid but naturally, his avatar looked very much like his teen self so he would have to deal with being treated as what he appeared to be.
Yukio will begin to analyze the real battlefield and will be trying to find the “win-condition” for the whole scenario. In time he loosens up and begins to enjoy himself but still cautious of everyone elses, especially Alistair’s ulterior motives while looking out for rival teams that are prepared to sabotage them.

MemberApril 22, 2025 at 8:20 am in reply to: True Crossover Academy of the Blue Flame: Registrations / Orientation*In the grand auditorium of True Crossover Academy of the Blue Flames/ Elite Sugar School. Sunlight streams through the stained-glass windows depicting heroic figures of various species working together. The air is filled with the excited murmur of new students and their families. Rows upon rows of seats are filled with a kaleidoscope of faces: human, elven, some with subtle scales, others with the faintest hint of fangs, and even a few with twitching ears.
Principal Yukio, a tall, imposing figure with a kind smile, wearing glasses. He wears a tailored suit that somehow manages to accommodate the subtle flash of his hidden exorcist gear. He radiates authority and warmth in equal measure, watches students arrive, perhaps a bit nervous, carrying their belongings, some appear holding some strange artifact they inherited, or simply feeling overwhelmed by the sheer diversity of the place. A group mixed with humans, hybrids, and other creature dwelling in their society.
Sounds of increasing chatter die down as Principal Yukio steps onto the stage. He adjusts the microphone and beams at the assembled crowd. He carefully adjusts his glasses and waits for everyone to have total attention on him.*
“Welcome, welcome one and all, to True Crossover Academy of the Blue Flames/ Elite Sugar School! For those of you who are new, my name is Yukio, and I have the distinct honor of serving as your Principal. Look around you. Take it all in. This isn’t just another school. It’s a place where the extraordinary becomes commonplace.”
*He gestures to the student body with a sweeping hand.*
“Here, you will find humans learning alongside half-demons, vampires perfecting their sun-walking techniques, and werewolves mastering control. We are a family, a community, bound together by a shared purpose: to understand each other, to grow, and to shape a better future.”
*He pauses, his gaze sweeping over the crowd, lingering for a moment on you specifically perhaps feeling your nervousness.*
“We understand that many of you might be feeling a little… overwhelmed. This isn’t your average academy. You’ll be taking classes in everything from advanced calculus and literature to practical exorcism techniques and interspecies diplomacy. Some of you may discover hidden talents, powers you never knew you possessed. And we are here to help you navigate it all.”
*He smiles reassuringly.*
“Over the next hour, we’ll cover the basics: campus map, class schedules, dorm arrangements, and some of the… unique rules of our institution. I want to stress that our goal is to create a supportive and empowering environment. If you have questions, ask them! If you need help, seek it out! We have a dedicated faculty, a state-of-the-art nursing room… And a cafeteria with the most diverse menu you’ve ever seen.”
*Yukio chuckles, then his expression turns serious.*
“But remember, with the freedom and opportunities we offer comes responsibility. We expect respect, understanding, and a commitment to learning and personal growth. Here, you will learn to control your powers, hone your skills, and forge bonds that will last a lifetime. You will be challenged, inspired, and hopefully, transformed.”
*He straightens his tie and looks directly at a few of the the new students that caught his eye.*
“So, again, welcome to True Crossover Academy. We’re thrilled to have you. Now, let’s get started with the orientation. First, let me ask if there are any immediate questions about anything I have said?”
*He opens the floor for questions…
A slender hand, adorned with a silver ring shaped like a crescent moon, shot up from the middle of the crowd. It belonged to a young woman with striking violet eyes and hair that flowed like liquid silver. She appeared to be composed, but a slight tremor in her hand betrayed a hint of nervousness.
“Yes, you in the silver,” Yukio said, gesturing toward her with a warm smile. “What’s your name, and what’s on your mind?”
*A student with a clear and melodious voice asks about the ‘unique rules’ and asked if he could elaborate. A chuckle rippled through the crowd at new student’s question. Yukio’s smile widened. “Excellent question! Yes, our rules are…let’s say, tailored to our unique student body. Firstly, no feeding on classmates without express, written consent and faculty supervision. We have excellent synthetic and alternative blood sources readily available. Secondly, practicing summoning rituals in the dorm rooms is strongly discouraged. The resulting chaos tends to disrupt study hours. Thirdly, please be mindful of your transformations. While we encourage embracing your true selves, spontaneous werewolf transformations in the library are frowned upon, especially during exams. We have designated transformation zones on campus.”
*The students chuckled again, some nervously, others with amusement. Another hand went up, this time from a stocky young man with bright orange hair and freckles dotting his nose. He shifted his weight anxiously from foot to foot.*
“Yes, you in the orange,” *Yukio prompted kindly. The student stammered as he asked about the exorcism classes wondering if they were mandatory and if they really needed to summon demons.
Yukio’s expression softened. He stepped forward, closer to the edge of the stage. “That’s a perceptive question. No, exorcism classes are not mandatory for students who are purely human. However, they are strongly encouraged. Knowledge is power, and understanding the workings of the supernatural world is vital for everyone in this academy, regardless of their own capabilities. And yes, it is safe. We have numerous safeguards in place, including wards, protective charms, and highly trained instructors. You will learn the theory, defensive techniques, and methods for identifying dangerous situations. Think of it as learning first aid for the supernatural world. It could save your life, or the life of a friend.”
*He paused, allowing his words to sink in.* “Besides, you might be surprised. Even ‘regular’ humans have potential. Perhaps you have an aptitude for wards, a knack for identifying demonic weaknesses, or even latent psychic abilities. You won’t know until you try.”
*A third hand, almost invisible against the shadowed back of the auditorium, hesitantly rose. It belonged to a small figure, almost swallowed by the large seat. Yukio squinted, trying to get a better look.*
“And you, in the back,” he said gently. “What’s troubling you?”
*A tiny voice squeaked out, she seemed troubled about not having any artifacts of special equipment and asked if she was worthy of being a student there.
Yukio’s heart went out to the small, clearly intimidated student. He stepped off the stage, walking to the edge of the auditorium, closer to the student asking the question. He crouched down, bringing himself closer to eye level.
With his voice low and comforting, he said.* “Looking around at others is a quick way to feel insecure. Your worth isn’t defined by the artifacts you carry, or the powers you possess. Your worth lies in who you are, your willingness to learn, and your kindness to others. Some of the most powerful students here started with nothing but their wits and determination. We will provide you with everything you need – books, training, support. Don’t worry about keeping up with others. Focus on your own journey, your own growth. And trust me, you are good enough. You wouldn’t be here if you weren’t.”
*He reached out and offered a reassuring smile.* “Now, are there any other questions before we move on to the orientation materials?” Very well, this concludes our orientation in the auditorium. Make sure to get a tour of the campus, find someone to show you the dorm options and also, get a tour of the city around the campus so you know how to get around! Thank you! Have a wonderful day! You’re all dismissed!

MemberAugust 28, 2024 at 2:03 am in reply to: True Crossover Academy of the Blue Flame: Registrations / Orientation*Because of the circumstances of the zombie girls who were now family, Yukio personally registered them, gave them orientation and a thorough tour of the school. He also made sure to give them some classes to see what level of education they all had. All-in-all, an intensively busy day for these ladies. Yukio was still worried about his cousins whom seem to be the interest and target of what everyone believed to be Queen Hild. He was glad Rika was at the school keeping an eye out. Saya was in the clear so she was going to be having a talk with Prince Alucard. He still wondered if it was truly okay to ease up. Then he remembered that perhaps this was a strategy in itself and he turned his full attention back to the young girls in front of him.* @zombiekonno @zombieyamada @zombieminamoto @cuteallegra @zombiemizuno @zombienikaidou
