Ms. Otose (Terada Ayano) is the original owner of Otose’s Snack House & Bar, affectionately known as ‘Snack Otose’ and is directly below the Yorozuya (she is also the landlady for Yorozuya). This is a small pub and snack house for the people of Gintama Town/ Kabukichou to hang out and drink.
Specialty: Good hospitality to those who deserve it, sake, birru and snacks. Tabs are accepted if you’re unable to pay for your drinks and snacks.

*Tatsugoro had been given an opportunity to see Otose again. He stood outside Otose’s Snack House day by day and would even appear at night. He did his best to remain undetected. Hadesu and Rinne had allowed Tatsugoro to have physical form for some time. They intended to appease Tatsugoro so that he would enter Samsara. However, looking the same as he did when Otose and he were younger made things slightly complex. He didn’t want to frighten Otose. In turn, he watched her for a while until he could get the courage to approach her. The woman he loved and the one he married.*

*Otose would get a slight chill inside the snack house. She would walk outside and notice some one turn their back and walk away. She would light her kiseru and always let this person know.* You can come inside the my snack house if you want to talk or have a drink. *She wondered who the person was and why he would come there but never come in. It had been almost a week of the same actions. She even spoke to family about it but this always happened when others were away.* I hope this is not some kind of stalker. *She then laughed loudly* Ha! No way! I know I’m sexy and all but that guy’s much too young. *She would go inside again and sit down to watch her tv while waiting for customers.*

*The last time Tatsugoro turned and walked away from the snack house, he heard Otose’s words. He would smiles.* My Ayano, she doesn’t change.
*An another cold night he wrapped himself in some cloth, he would go see Otose again. The snack house was busy with drunk men complaining about their lives to Otose. He would sit and lean against the outside of the snack house. The night was long and the cold air had made Tatsugoro fall asleep. He had waited long and could hear the men stumbling out of the bar. He could hear Otose telling them to be careful and return to her snack house again. But he continued to sleep.*

*Otose sent the last customer home. She was waving to them at the door when she noticed someone asleep right outside her snack house.* He must be the one that comes here every day and never comes in. *She went inside and got a warm jacket to put over him. She went back inside again to make miso soup and hot sake.* This should help. But should I wake him? *She realized that he didn’t want to be seen so she wondered if he was some kind of fugitive. She then went outside and whispered close enough so he could hear her.* Wake up! It’s warmer inside and I have miso soup and hot sake. If you don’t want me to see your face. Don’t worry, you walk in, I’ll be watching tv. *She gets up, goes insid eand turns on the tv which is over the bar. So she can’t see him.* I hope he heard me.

*He was pleased but at the same time concerned. She was both considerate but vulnerable. Her voice had warmed him up and he felt as she put the jacket on him. *He got up slowly and put it on. He was glad she had decided not to look. He was aware she was respecting his wishes. He stepped into the small warm snack house. At a table, there was his beloved wife’s simple food. He sat quietly eating and enjoying the drink she had provided. Wondering what would be his next step.*

*Otose was glad that the stranger decided to come in and warm up. For some reason having him there felt comforting and had made her feel young and warm. It may have been windy and freezing outside but the warmth in the snack house of a cozy supernatural nature. She walked towards the door and closed it. Without turning to look at him.* You can stay here and sleep if you have no were else to stay. *She want back to watching TV only being able to hear the stranger shifting around in his seat as if he were looking at her and then turning to his food again.*

*Tatsugoro mentioned he was going to the snack house. He wanted to make sure things went smoothly and he brought his brothers along with him. He knocked on the door so that sis Otose would let them in.* Yo! We’re here! *he taunted playfully.*

*After seeing brother Tatsugoro at the mansion, Ranma wondered if he had finally spoken to sis Otose. He hoped that he had arrived with the rest of his brothers in time to support Tatsugoro and to be there in case Otose’s reaction caused any pain or unpredictable reactions.* Inu! *he hands him a dango.* Look, got this while we wait! She must be watching her soap opera so hopefully she’ll oven the door soon.

*Mousse is looking around behind them. He notices how quiet the streets are. And then he coughs to get his brother’s attention.* Should we really be here? I mean I know he told us he needs our support but what if…*he takes his glasses off and dramatically puts them back one.* What if they re doing this and that in there?

*Leans against the wall of the snack house next to the door.* Geez Mousse bro! Too much information! Too much! *he shakes his head and looks over to Kuno.* What are you doing Tatewaki brother?

*Kuno was preparing himself to slice the door to bits with his sword.* We shall save our sis in distress and handle the villain! We wont let him get away with doing this or that. *blushes*

*Otose stopped watching her soap opera. She could hear a commotion growing outside. She glanced over at the stranger but he was not facing her. He seemed to be asleep. She then opens the door.* What the hell are you all doing here? *She looks at them surprised.* Come in, come in! I have a guest here so don’t bother him, h told them.

*He smiles as soon as she opens the door.* Gomen, I know we were kinda loud! *walks in* We just came to check on you. If you want us to go, just say the word.
