The Kourai Ruins
This is a place where a great village once flourished but it fell into ruin when outsiders attacked them and a great many were killed and the whole place was destroyed by fires that ravaged their homes and the remaining ones left the ruin but the only one left alive with no where to go, remained. This is the beginning of her tale here in the ruined village.

*Helena was in a quite place with her husband Gintoki. He was gathering fruits for his favorite parfaits. Helena was meditating and she felt the universe call to her again. This time it focused in on a strange event. A god had been disappointed by the birth of a child. The child cried as she was abandoned on the mountains. Helena felt sadness watching this unravel.
She noticed that a goddess noticed the child. It was through the eyes of the goddess Artemis that Helena was viewing this. Since the goddess could not raise the child, she was able to send a bear to raise her. The child grew strong and healthy. She learned to become an exceptional huntress. She was living peacefully in a village. Still young and vibrant. It was then that something horrifying happened.
The village below the mountains was attacked by a very vicious group of marauders. They were large in number and killed of many of the people living there. The young girl was able to fend off the attacks. Day and night the marauders took turns trying to get a hold of her but couldn’t. One was able to injure her but they grew weary of her and left her to die.
This is where the goddess Artemis called Helena’s name.* “Helena, Help her!”
*Helena felt a jolt in her body. She knew the goddess was real and that the goddess wanted Helena to interfere. So Helena opened her eyes and they began to change colors at a fast rate. Gintoki noticed and began to worry as he wasn’t sure what was happening at that moment.
Helena would raise both her arms and portal was sent to engulf the young girl but since she could not still make a portal to come directly too her knew that she had sent the girl directly into the borderlands.
Her eyes finally stopped changing colors and remained at a caramel brown and she looked at Gin with worry.* We have to go to the borderlands! Right now Gin love!

*The time in the village had been rough on her being she was the Arcadian princess and the whole tribe living in the kourai village sought to use her for her power in keeping the clan that had taken her after she was abandoned. Little was known about her but they did not care about that after learning how strong she would one day become. hoping to use that in the future but others sought her out as well as time went by and she grew up and grew in beauty as well. Many of the villagers grew jealous over her beauty and some would even spit on her and throw dirt at her but that was just the beginning, it only got worse for her. A few times she would go into the forbidden forest area she was told to never go there and she would get beat each time they found out she had been there.
“I swear i will get out of here and away from you all even if it kills me! I would rather die then be your slave any longer! You will never have my power on that you can bet on.” *She said as blood fell from a cut on the side of her forehead from a piece of glass that they broke and cut her with to try and punish her/teach her some manners and she rebelled. As it continued for a time she had to go along with everything until she could find the right moment to break away and get herself free of them but she did not know she was a princess, no one told her about her family or anything about herself as they had not bothered to even tell her anything. On the day of her birthday the village elder took her to a remote place in the village garden and told her about how he found her and took her here but then the village came under attack and fire broke out all around them. Many were killed and it was then known to her that no one there truly valued her life at all and so she chose to allow the bandits to raid the village taking what they wanted and killing who they wished to, but it seemed they had a different target in mind, her.
“They deserved to die like that, no..Don’t you dare look back got it! Atali they needed to die they didnt care about you, get out of here when you can now go!” *She heard a voice say to her and she was not sure just what was going on but as she ran into the forest she made it to the top of the mountain only to be met by a bandit face to face with a sword in his hands. She grabbed her bow but the bandit was so fast he knocked her off her feet and she felt the wind knocked out of her lungs. Trying to catch her breath she saw a flash of light in the sky and before fainting she wondered just what it could be as she waited for the bandit to kill her.

// I love it! It all works. So we could say that the goddess Artemis was showing Helena parts of Atali’s life because she desperately wanted Helena to get the young girl she had saved. And she was afraid that if Helena saw all the other difficult moment Atali went through that Helena might not have responded to her plea. Although, she would have anyway. I love it! I’m going to re-read it carefully and wait for Gin. //
