**Walpurgisnacht (Annual Celebration April 30th to May 1st)**

An annual celebration which consists of bonfires outside the palazzo and dancing both outside and inside in celebration of Walpurgis Night!

**⛧ A Night of Fire and Shadows: The Turning of the Veil ⛧**

In the ancient time of the Northlands, when the frost still whispered the names of gods, the night of **April’s End** marked a sacred rite. Beneath the budding trees and silver moon, tribes gathered to honor the **Divine Union of Wotan and Freya**—a celebration of **fertility, rebirth**, and the great turning of the seasons. Fires were kindled, mead flowed freely, and songs rose to the heavens in praise of love both wild and eternal.

But as the old ways waned and the iron cross was raised over forest and fjord, the sacred night was twisted.

The name of the holy festival was stolen, replaced by that of **Walpurga**, a Christian nun sent to crush the old gods beneath sanctified boots. Where once stood a feast of life, the Church sowed fear. The joyous rites of the Goddess were labeled witchcraft. The union of Wotan and Freya was smeared as devilry.

Now the common folk speak of **Walpurgisnacht**, the **Hexenbrunnen**—the Witch’s Burning. They say that on this cursed eve, witches fly to the **Brocken Peak** in the Harz Mountains to consort with the Dark One, plotting ruin for the world of men.

Terror clutches the villages. Pots are beaten, fires lit high on the hills to ward off the spirits. And in the shadows, not even the innocent are safe—**the Witch Hunts begin**.

The veil thins, and the night crackles with ancient power. Are you a witch reclaiming the old ways, a seer following Freya’s call, or a templar sworn to purge the forbidden rites? Will you gather by firelight to honor the divine, or stalk the forests hunting shadows?

**The choice is yours—but beware… on Walpurgisnacht, all masks fall.**

*Enjoying the fire lit to celebrate the ancient rites, she grins as she feels the frenzied energies around her, her third eye opens and takes in the bewildering festivities of the night. *

    *Walpurgisnacht Reclaimed by the Witches*

It’s the eve of May 1st, and the grounds of GothicSugar’s Il Palazzo della Danza Notturne is filled with an otherworldly energy. The air is electric with anticipation as three witches, Hekate, Xastur and Lilitu – prepare to reclaim the ancient celebration of Walpurgisnacht. This dark and mystical ritual, once a cornerstone of pagan tradition, has been suppressed by the local Christian authorities for centuries.

Hekate – The leader of the group, known for her cunning and magical prowess.

Xastur – A mysterious and introspective figure, with a deep understanding of the occult

Lilitu – A wild and unpredictable force, with a talent for chaos and mayhem.

The three witches, each with their own unique brand of magic and mayhem, have arrived at the scene. Their plan is to perform a ritual to awaken the dormant powers of the night.

As the sun dips below the horizon, casting a bloody orange glow over the landscape, the witches gather at the abandoned gardens on the outskirts of the gothic palace that leads straight into heart of a dense and foreboding forest that hides the infamous town that celebrates Hallow’s Eve year-round.

The witches are dressed in black, adorned with symbols of their craft, and their eyes burn with an inner fire.

Hekate, the de facto leader of the group, raises her hands to the sky and shouts the words that will signal the beginning of the ritual: “Shemhamforash!” The other two witches join in, their voices echoing through the night air as they invoke the ancient powers of chaos and rebellion.

As the ritual gains momentum, the witches begin to dance and chant, calling forth the spirits of the land and the darkness that lurks within. The air is filled with the scent of burning herbs and the sound of distant drums, and the very fabric of reality seems to be bending to the witches’ will.

*A night of shadows and fire was a great success but also a good way to see how the inhabitants would respond to all the eerie displays of fire and magic on the grounds of the gothic castle.* Like moths to a flame! *he grins*
