Odysseus pulls up a holographic monitor, and attaches one of his exo-suit antennas to it, immediately updating the software. The monitor flickers, and begins projecting. Odysseus forgets what he was doing, and his hands begin to shake, his eyes flashing red for a moment as his veins become pronounced on his neck. He brushed off the dirt from his suit, glancing at the old paint job. It was a 2000 year old relic, by all estimates.

Odysseus sits down at the desk in his room, his old room, and stares at the wall, silently drinking his tea as he puts some light classical music on his record player. The lamp casts a dull glow in the room, and Odysseus picks up a dusty tarot card identical to Rose’s set from beneath some papers. It depicts a white tulip. “Oh, I’ve forgotten so much.” Odysseus then proceeds to a drawer, and pulls out a holographic imager, turning it on to depicts several old 3-D images and files.

(Also, through a slight discussion, I am now good with me being an alternate Jack, although we only know this through DNA comparisons, hinting that we once had identical DNA structures. Also, preferably know one knows deliberately about my past in the alternate universe yet. Otherwise, carry on.)

“Uh, Jack… About that… Midzog is alive.”

(I don’t want to be an alternate you, Jack. We’re scrubbing that. It’s stupid.)

“That’s not entirely true.” Odysseus tells from his bedroom. “And Jack, I’m just as much you as anyone else. We are not the same, at all. Different names. Different life. We may have even looked the same once, yes, and we may have the same origin, but we are too different to compare.”

Odysseus goes down to the last, furthest room in the hallway, and writes his name into the keypad on the wall, setting in a password as well.

“I’ll be getting my rest. Got any books? And tea?”

Odysseus raises an eyebrow. “Do not underestimate the OGA. The actual path cannot be tracked, but the amount of energy needed to cross that distance is enormous, and most certainly can be tracked. But I checked the oscillation. We should be safe.”

Odysseus wakes up in the laboratory, and looks at Jack. “That teleport was risky, Jack. We could have been tracked.” Odysseus checks a monitor to confirm the multi-wave form pattern oscillation, and then glances at his sleeping companions around him, wavering on Geralt. “Well, at least it’s warm. Is this the orbital lab I designed for you, Jack? You redecorated… But surely we are close to Iffrozar. We need to stay on the move.”

The sun sets. “Everyone, stay inside. Apollo, fire! NOW!”

“Maybe. I haven’t had the psychologists check me yet. Well, there was this one time… But let’s not talk about that. Now, come on.” Odysseus grabs Kika’s hand, deploys two cords from his utility belt and hands them to Kika, tears two strips of metal from the hull and duct tapes them to Kika’s boots, and stands up, glancing nervously at the sun and his pocket watch, reading ‘-3 MINUTES’. “Behind schedule… Ever gone cross-country skiing before?”

Odysseus sees the ship up ahead of him, and glances at his pocket watch. “6 minutes… Come on!” Odysseus begins shouting, “Kika! Kika! Kika! Where are you?! We need to get you to shelter!” Odysseus climbs into the wreckage, searching for her.

“Kika’s out there on the ice. We have to save her. But we don’t have much time. Wish me luck.” Odysseus takes off sprinting across the ice, opening his Comms to the others. *Hello? Hello? Do you copy? I have no visual. I don’t know where we lost her, but I’m retracing our sled route.*
