“Let’s see here… The world of Skyrie. This map is presented to the residents of the old world, as well as explorers from other universes, in order to help them get their bearings. …Skyrie! This was where I had planned to end up after all! …But before I celebrate, there’s something I need to do…” She quickly goes back to sorting through her cards, picking one up and tossing it into the air. It disappears with a flash, and a large backpack appears in its place. Alyssa catches it with some difficulty, as it’s quite heavy and full.

Alyssa follows behind, removing what looks like a deck of cards from her pocket and looking through them. Soon, they come across the map. “Hmm, let me see.”

“What? …Oh! No, no, this isn’t food. This is a flash drive. …Wait, is technology very advanced around here?”

“Nope! I actually have my luggage stored in a safe zone my dad set up. And the only thing of importance from the ship is right here.” She takes a flash drive from her pocket, and holds it up to show the stranger.

The dragon lifts up the yokai, moving towards the building. Then, she begins to glow red, and rushes towards the library at a very high speed. Her speed is comparable to a sports car, zooming towards the library at over a hundred miles per hour.

“You want me to carry you? Mentali are a pretty speedy type of dragon, we can get there in no time! And it looks like you’re gonna need to get there quick, you don’t look so good…”

“I’m a dragon. A Mentali, to be more specific.” The fluffy dragon woman smiles, holding out a hand to this complete stranger. “The name’s Alyssa. Alyssa Aspen.”

The screech and the claws meet with perfect timing. The glass shatters, and a strange bipedal dragon-like woman jumps out, and starts shooting energy bullets of her own at the enemies. “Any idea what these are?” she asked. Her voice was youthful, yet had an air of cleverness to it.

The sound of claws on glass can be heard from inside the wreck, as well as female cries for help. Seems like whoever’s inside is under attack by some sort of odd creature… Although the glass is too fogged up by smoke to see inside.

A loud crash is heard in the direction Kyouko had been walking, followed by smoke starting to rise from the source of the sound…

A few years ago, legends told of a mysterious scientist by the name of Taren. He came to Skyrie in search of friendship, but then, as quickly as he arrived, he vanished. Some thought him dead, yet others thought him to be exploring other universes. In truth, he had returned to his home universe, to start a tech company. Years passed there, while time sped by in this one. However, time in his universe has begun to speed up recently. It now runs parallel to Skyrie’s. Taren himself has grown, too; he has aged around 30 years since the day he left, now aged 48, and yet he looks as youthful as a normal 25-year-old. He could have come back after his company went big, but there were complications. He had befriended a family of dragons known as the Hutchinsons, who held a great secret. To protect it, they entrusted Taren with the eggs of their children, Alyssa and Alex. The two grew to love their adoptive father, and Alyssa had even taken it upon herself to start helping with some of Taren’s projects. Today, he has told Alyssa about the mysterious world he encountered so many years ago, and Alyssa, being the brave girl she is, offered to perform an investigation – what was it that brought people there? Excited to find out, and maybe make some friends, she got into her ship and took off, leaving her world through a portal. Now, she’s set to arrive soon…

The young explorer turns to look at the hybrid, smiling. “Sure, I’d love a tour! And don’t worry, I promise to be gentle. I hate the whole stereotype of dragons being dangerous, destructive creatures.” She then turns to the Swarmling. “Heh… To be honest, I’ve never seen a regular dragon myself, either. Just the other members of my species. And yeah, I’m always happy to meet new friends!”

In the sky, the outline of a dragon can be seen descending towards the shrine. It grows closer and clos- oh, wait, she’s already landed. She’s much smaller than most dragons, it seems. She enters, waving. “Hello! My name’s Alyssa, I’m an explorer, just here to look around.”

Taren returns the bow. “It is nice to meet you. I am Anubis the Fourth, a god from Egyptian folklore. Although you may call me Taren. This is my brother Trigger.” Upon saying this, he gestured towards the red jackal. “And this is my sister-in-law, Alyssa.” He then gestured towards the orange creature. Upon hearing Amanto, he froze. “Un… published?” Trigger replied, “Nice going, Taren. Your research REALLY paid off, didn’t it?”
