Abandoned Church in the borderlands area

  • Zehellenia’s grin widened, a hint of dark amusement in her gaze. “Tsumiki? Is that the name of a mortal you hold dear, sorcerer?” Her voice was smooth, resonant, devoid of any genuine uncertainty. “I assure you, I am Zehellenia. Daughter of Satan. And I am light-years beyond the insignificant existence of a mere human, darling.”

“Don’t play games!” Megumi snapped, his Ten Shadows shikigami bristling, a snarling dog baring its teeth. “I feel her… part of her, within you. What have you done to her?” The protective instinct, usually reserved for strangers, burned fierce for this perceived connection to his sister.

  • Zehellenia let out a soft, almost pitying chuckle. Her eyes, however, flashed with annoyance. “You mistake a faint echo for reality, boy. My power is… vast. And I owe you no explanations for the faint reverberations of cosmic alignments. You wanna challenge me over a fantasy?” Her hands began to glow faintly with an ominous, hellfire energy, the air around her warping subtly around her. Space itself seemed to bend to her will.

Hanna, still dazed, tried to process. Megumi was alive. She was alive. And now this powerful, terrifying woman was threatening him. Her simple, kind heart recoiled at the sight. She didn’t understand the complex history, the lingering shadows of Tsumiki. All she saw was Megumi, her protector, the one she loved, in danger.

Without a second thought, driven by instinct and a surge of raw, unyielding devotion, Hanna began to walk towards Zehellenia. Her blonde bob swayed, the yellow halo above her head pulsed faintly, like a distant star. She wasn’t strong like Arthur, or strategic like Megumi, but she would stand between them.

A sudden, guttural sound escaped her. Not from her own mouth. A new, ancient voice, deep and resonant, ripped across the desolate landscape. A mouth, impossibly wide and cruel, had opened on the back of Hanna’s trembling hand, its teeth sharp, its gaze piercing, devoid of warmth.

“Stand down, child of chaos,” the Angel’s voice boomed, raw power emanating from the small, grotesque mouth. “Do not provoke my vessel, or face extinguishment.” The air around Hanna shimmered, not with power being unleashed, but with the subtle, insidious hum of nothingness. A silent threat, far more ancient and terrifying than any Hellfire.

Arthur, who had been watching the exchange with a wary eye, his hand on Caliburn, now stared at Hanna with a mixture of shock and dawning recognition. His ingrained “disdain for demonic lineage” suddenly found a new, even more unsettling target in the ancient, non-human entity speaking through the angelic girl.

  • Zehellenia only laughed, her eyes dancing with a manic, hell-born glee as she stared down the celestial threat. Unfazed by the decree of extinguishment, the daughter of Satan bared her teeth in a mockery of a smile, her posture radiating a reckless, mischievous confidence that dared the Angel to strike. She dismissed the romantic tension with a sharp flick of her words, her focus narrowing on the entity within Hanna, turning a moment of desperate protection into a volatile powder keg of divine and infernal power.

You boy, tell your girlfriend I’m not interested in you!” Her eyes never leaving Hanna. “And you girly and whatever is possessing you, extinguish me? Come on and try it.”

    “Oh no!”

The Borderlands, already a place of desolation, crackled with a tension that threatened to tear it apart. A new threat… a fight… was about to add itself to the mayhem.

Megumi watched as tension began to build. He was speechless for a moment until he heard Zehellenia teasing. “Stop this! Both of you!” But his words seem to fall on deaf ears as the two women glared at each other.

Arthur Angel stalks the battlefield as the Vatican’s elite exorcist, a living paradox of “saint outside, devil inside” whose haughty confidence masks an unyielding, fanatical hatred for demons—yet even he is forced to grudgingly tolerate the lingering taint of demonic lineage that seeps into his world. Empowered by the Mashō Rite, his spectral awareness lets him spot the foulest of wraiths before they can strike, while his prodigious strength and blinding speed make him seem to vanish and reappear in the blink of an eye, a human flash of holy wrath. Gripping the sentient blade Caliburn, he cleaves through hordes with a single, thunderous swing that shatters multiple foes at once, though the effort drains him if the targets lie too far; when distance demands precision, he summons a luminous duplicate of the sword to form a radiant bow, loosing a volley of light‑arrow bursts that sear the night. With a fierce roar he unleashes his Angelic Ray—a blinding, incandescent lance that catapults him forward, piercing any demon in his path and leaving nothing but ash in its wake—while around him Zehellenia, Hanna, and Megumi bicker, their heated argument a stark contrast to Arthur’s unwavering, holy onslaught. “Focus!”

As the fierce argument between Hanna and Zehellenia continued to escalate, Megumi’s stoic gaze observed the unfolding scene. His strategic mind, honed from years of jujutsu training, attempted to assess the situation. However, his usually astute judgement was momentarily clouded by Zehellenia, reminding him of his late sister Tsumiki. Despite his desire to defuse the tension, Megumi remained silent, choosing instead to focus on finding a solution to their predicament. With his mastery of the Ten Shadows Technique, the young sorcerer could conjure powerful shikigami to aid in their escape, and this is what he began to do. He summoned his shikigami strategically for the fight while glancing back at Hanna and Zehellenia in hopes they would be more aware of their surroundings. He looks over at Arthur. “I’m assuming you’re here to help. At least for now, I’ll join in and fight along side you.”

Hanna stepped forward, her boots crunching on the broken asphalt of what was once a city, now a skeletal ruin reclaimed by gnarled trees and pulsating vines. The air reeked of acid and decay, and in the distance, the grotesque silhouettes of giant spiders skittered between collapsed buildings, their mandibles dripping venom that hissed upon the cracked earth. Innocent by nature and gentle in spirit, Hanna was out of place in this nightmare—yet within her burned the ancient flame of the Angel, a Heian-era sorcerer bound to her in a symbiotic fusion of soul and power. Though she preferred kindness to conflict, she stepped towards Zehellenia , temporarily blinded by her need to protect him: Megumi was hers to shield, and she would burn the world to keep that promise. Forgotten now were the lurking horrors of Borderlands; her focus narrowed to Zehellenia, the demonic daughter of Satan, whose very presence threatened the one Hanna vowed to defend. With glowing talismans swirling around her and the Angel’s jujutsu surging through her veins, Hanna raised her hand—not as a destroyer, but as a guardian on the brink of holy war. Her glowing talisman was glowing and seen in the distance.

  • Zehellenia stood cloaked in the silence between stars, her very presence warping the fabric of reality around her—though she had yet to fully grasp the depth of her own power. Endowed with cosmic awareness, she could feel the pulse of distant galaxies and the whisper of forgotten dimensions, while her latent mastery over void manipulation and space-time folds allowed her to bend existence itself with a mere thought. She wielded black-hole genesis in her palms, twisted light into lances of crystallized energy, and danced through quantum states as if time were a suggestion rather than a law. Her immortality was not just of the body but of essence—nonexistence could not claim her, and radiation bent humbly to her will. With limitless stamina and a mind teeming with arcane knowledge, she commanded reality like a symphony: healing with a touch, reshaping matter and form at will, summoning the Grand Demons of Hell with an incantation lost to mortal tongues. She could teleport across realms, lift mountains with her mind, and turn enemies into grotesque illusions with a glance. And yet, even as these abilities—many still dormant—crackled beneath her skin, her focus narrowed with cold fury on Hanna, the so-called angel’s vessel. To Zehellenia, Hanna was an intrusion, a shimmering blasphemy against the balance she was destined to protect. As she raised her hands, reality frayed at the edges, energy spiraling into a cataclysmic convergence bright enough to be seen across continents. This surge—a beacon of unholy brilliance—ripped through the veil, drawing the attention of Selena, the Taimat Seraphim, who descended like a blade from the heavens, sensing the clash of two forces too powerful to ignore. @alma-enamorada

Selena exists as a dangerous harmony between divine order and primordial chaos, a living convergence where Seraphic purity meets the ancient draconic sovereignty of Tiamat. She is less a hybrid and more an unstable coexistence of creation and ruin, moving with a regal posture that masks a predatory stillness. She approaches and speaks with a “Cathedral Resonance,” a layered chorus that vibrates like a pipe organ over the low, terrifying rumble of a distant earthquake. Sensing a surge of instability in the borderlands, she descended from the heavens like a falling blade to interrupt the clash between Zehellenia and Hanna. As she landed, her divine light crushed the surrounding enemies with absolute authority, and she brandished her signature weapon—a spear forged from a dragon’s rib wrapped in consecrated bandages. With a melancholic gaze that seemed to mourn a lost homeland even as it pierced through the present, she uttered a single, fractured command: “Sleep.” The sheer spiritual pressure of her voice nullified the conflict instantly, turning the battlefield within her area into a tomb of silence. Turning her gaze toward Arthur and Megumi with a terrifyingly polite ancientness, she spoke in her haunting, symphonic tone: “Quickly, follow me. Let us get to safety first, and then we can answer questions for you, Megumi.”

Hanna’s body paralyzes with Selena’s unexpected appearance. The words come like a chorus and render her eyelids heavy. She releases the seal she was about to release and begins to fall to the ground. It was later she would find out that Megumi caught her and carried her out of the borderlands while she slept.

Megumi was also surprised by Selena’s dominating presence but there was an undeniable kindness even in her strange sounding voice. He caught Hanna and picked her up bridal-style. Following Selena and Arthur out of the chaos that had been plaguing them.
