Alex’s head pops up at the smell of coffee, thoughts of Jade and Claire’s “Coffee Club” entering his mind, he then frowns, looking down at his half eaten plate of food. Elijah looks to him, Alex takes notice and smiles at him with a slight nod that he’s doing alright. Alex looks to Samuel and Velia, the latter of whom appears to have constructed a soggy makeshift nest. Alex smiles at this a bit.
Elijah also smells the coffee, and it makes his stomach turn. Oh god. Not that he hates coffee, no not at all, he loves the fancy stuff like lattes and cappuccinos…but…
“Coffe…” He says aloud. “Oh god.”
Alex looks to him with a concerned expression, “Do you have bad memories relating to coffee…?”
“No..but…the last time there was a random smell…it started with bacon and sulfur…and then water,” Elijah explains. “No one get too comfortable, something’s gonna happen soon.”

Elijah looks down at his feet. Oh. “Yeah, I guess I am. Not the first time though,” he says with a shrug and continues eating, drinking a bit.
Alex also eats, but at a slower pace, taking a few small drinks then also giving his cut to Ian. He’s really not in the mood for water and this guy seems to need it so why not help as well?
-
Alex laughs a bit, “Yes Velia, that show was lovely. But please do be careful.”
Alex sits right by Velia and Samuel, Elijah being right next to him. Alex pauses. That…was horrible. Was it a text? Maybe there is no way to stop it. Maybe…
“Maybe it was a test and there will be more…and if we fail someone might die….or all of us,” Alex mutters aloud.
“A…test? Like no way to stop what happens?” Elijah questions.
“Exactly….just maybe,” Alex shakes his head a bit, turning his attention else where. Alex tilts his head, his innocent and very very feminine face gaining a curious expression. He adjusts his now soaking darkly colored dress and lays his eyes on Ian.
“Yes, we do welcome you…regrettably. I wish we didn’t have to…this place is not where you want to be,” Alex says, speaking sadly, “But anyways, I’m Alex, as I’ve been introduced already! And…I know I’m small and look like a girl, but I am in fact a boy, just to clarify incase there was any confusion.”
Elijah’s wild hair remains slicked back and out of his face as well as dripping wet, he eats the rice rather quickly, but waves at Ian. “Hi. I’m Elijah…and I wish I had a boat.”

Elijah allows Alex to grab onto the handles, then doing it himself, still being close to Samuel and Velia. One group…stay a group…stay a group. That’s what he keeps repeating in his mind.
Alex fumbles a bit, the ice cold on his hands but he deals with it, as everyone in the room likely is. He pauses for a moment, recalling Elijah saying he may swim to the bottom, he looks to Samuel and Velia.
“Might it be a good idea for someone to cautiously check the bottom of the room? Or…do you think there may be traps down there? Perhaps along the walls…?” By now Alex is just brainstorming aloud.
-
Alex only holds onto Elijah, letting his legs and body float back as not to put too much weight on Elijah. Meanwhile, Elijah is holding in okay, but struggling to breath correctly. He looks to see the kind person who helped Velia. Good…Samuel would probably have another freak out…and he would to to be honest.
“So what…do we want to try? I could swim around at the bottom and see if there’s a button of some sort or something,” Elijah says in a bit of a choppy manner. Looking behind him to Alex, “You’d be able to manage right?”
Alex nods. They need to think quick.
-
“And that end might be us dying…” Elijah mutters.
Alex tries to regulate his breathing, still quite weak, and also cold, “Or we can stop it…some…how…”
Hope. That’s what Alex wants everyone to have and hold onto right now.

Elijah sticks to Samuel and Velia as he has been doing, but he does make sure that everyone else in the room is okay. Suddenly there’s a coughing from behind him. Alex is coughing, slowly gaining consciousness.
“Remind m-” cough “me” cough “to um…” cough cough “hug Mina.” Alex Manages this in a worn out voice between coughs.
Elijah sighs in relief. He thinks “Do you think that the puppet master may have put something on the ground after the water got to a certain point? Something to stop it?”
-
Elijah opens his eyes, the world completely blurred to him…but the shade of pink of Alex’s hair should be easy to spot. He turns around. Is that?! Yes! Oh shit, air. He quickly goes up to the top and takes a breath before quickly going down again, opening his eyes and swimming in the direction of Alex. The pink appears to be close to where he stopped, he reaches his arm out to feel around, bumping his hand against something. He sees the tone of semi-pale skin and a blurred black sleeve.
Hell yes.
The brunette reaches out and wraps his hand around a weirdly winy forearm, swimming up and surfacing himself and Alex, he hoists the unconscious Alex onto his back, keeping himself floating and swimming back over to Samuel and Velia, but with a bit of difficulty. He feels shallow breaths against his back. Thank god…none of them died…they’re all okay for right now.
-
Elijah swims over, “Is she okay…?”
He looks around for any sign of Alex as well. People are helping others but no…Alex…please tell me he’s not…no. He recalls when Jade made Alex have a breath holding competition with her, neither of them being too masterful but Alex really wasn’t the best, he lost.
Meanwhile, under the water, a pink haired figure is starting to lose consciousness, the water is blurring his vision and he probably should close his eyes but he doesn’t. He can’t breath, he can’t think, he’s too weak to move.
Back on the surface, Elijah being glad to see Velia still alive, is determined to find Alex, they all are gonna get out of this together.
“I’ll be back,” He tells Samuel before diving under the water.
-
Elijah finds himself against a wall as he tries to keep himself afloat. He’s trying so hard not to panic right now. Where was Alex? The water got too high and…he…let go of Elijah. He looks to Samuel, seeing that Velia is also no where to be seen. Oh god. No. Alex and Velia are…are they? No. He feels his eyes sting. Oh come on, don’t cry. Oh hell, let yourself cry man. Elijah was underwater as well, his hair weighed down and in his face even more, he slicks it back a bit so that little of it is in his face. God. He’s crying and likely to drown soon…Velia and Alex are gone. More tears. He swims over to where Samuel. They should at least…stick together.
“They’re…gone…?” He says in more of a questioning tone, his voice cracking.
-
At this point, Alex is full out panicking, he can barely breathe let alone think. No…calm. Inhale, exhale, inhale….exhale…
Okay.
“This…” Alex starts, “is bullshit…”
Elijah jumps a bit, “You swear?”
“On occasion,” Alex answers in an angered tone, he clutches the knife in his hand, also being sure to keep his arm around Elijah’s neck without choking him.
“I wish we had…Magic tape or something to stop the water in the ceiling…” Elijah mutters, knowing how stupid it sounds but all he wants is a solution…think…some sort of spell maybe?
-
Alex is currently standing on his tiptoes, breathing heavily. He really only has two inches left. Upon seeing this, Elijah grabs him, hoisting him up on his back.
“Thanks,” Alex manages, a bit out of breath. He looks to Samuel and Velia who seem to be managing. “Are you guys okay?”
Elijah walks a bit closer to them, the water slowing his movements of course. He feels pretty useless. Why…why can’t he think of anything? Nope. No no no. Now is not the time to go into panic. Keep it together Elijah.
Alex is currently trying to think. Samuel said something about it being underground? But…the floor is also concrete, it’s gonna break just as well as the walls. It’s also coming from the ceiling. Or…are they supposed to just let the water engulf them? Is there a way to stop it? Or…is it that they pass out after the room fills up and wake up in another area? Too many options.
-
Alex thinks for a moment, attempting to get used the the water, “Well…when you froze it last time, the ice kept rising from the ground, so…if you froze that if might still come down and crush up slowly….or force us down into the water and drown us.”
Elijah looks down at Alex, “If it gets too high, I can give you a piggy back ride or something…shorty.”
Alex laughs a bit at the friendly teasing…but still panicking about the current situation.
-
Elijah looks to see the water still rising. “Well…fuck.”
Alex hits Elijah, “Was that language necessary?!”
Elijah looks away, “No…”
-
Elijah gravitates to Alex, who gravitates to Velia and Samuel himself, keeping them in their familiar little group of four.
“So…I kind of want some chicken broth right now,” Elijah randomly states.
“And I would like some bandages but we can’t all get what we want,” Alex mutters a bit, lightheartedly of course.
Elijah looks to the one who helped to free him after he made the joke, “That would be gross, I don’t think he’d do that.”
“Elijah here takes things a bit too literally at times, don’t mind him,” Alex smiles, however, his brows furrow a bit.
Alex watches the cat-like Velia claw into the ice while smiling. …It’s good to see her smile, it makes him smile even more too.
