Alex tentatively adds a few medium sized sicks to the fire, not wanting to mess it up and accidentally add too much, making the smoke darker, which he knows isn’t desired. Wait that’s what they were doing, right? Adding more to make it bigger? Is it adding more that makes the smoke darker? He…doesn’t really know this kind of stuff very well. He’s just trying not to do too little or too much, not wanting o be a burden but also not wanting to let his own naivety trip him up.

Alex nods, catching the words “safe” and “here”…or…maybe he read I’s lips wrong and it was “where”? Either way it seems like they were staying here for now. His eyebrows furrowed…he can’t just sit here. He has to help! He doesn’t want to be a burden.
“L…Let me help too!” Alex exclaimed, voice shaking a bit, but covered up with the brightest smile you’d think a person could give, his eyes sparkling along with them. He holds back a few tremors, not completely though, as he shook slightly. He went quickly for me firewood as well, he really doesn’t want to be deadweight.

Alex’s eyes focus on Lucy’s quickly moving hands, able to keep up, having mastered the alphabet after teaching himself, memorizing, and practicing for days on end.

Alex then speaks up, “B…but where…do we sleep…sh-should we…uh…leave soon…and f…find somewhere?”

Alex nods in response, but then realizes that she cant see even a silhouette of him, so he responds simply with ¨Alright.¨ Alex sees I re-approaching the area, then he turns from Lucy partly, to also partly face I, waving at him with an enthusiastic wave. He doesn’t know if I said anything or if he did if it was important news of some sort, but his expression doesn’t seem too urgent or panicked, so he’ll just start a conversation and hope he’s not ignoring something. ¨S…so, find anythin..g….um, interesting? Or no?¨

Alex looks at Lucy then smiles a bit, ” Yes, um I….do feel better.” However he did manage to make out what he thinks were the words “get”, “stuff”, and “fire”. Alex assumes he means firewood possibly? His golden eyes look to the fire already going, noting that it was indeed diminishing slowly but surely. Maybe he could help make something…he does know how to cook…but it’s winter, they’d be lucky to find any sort or meat…well, they’ll find something, he’s sure of it. He turns to Lucy, “Do you um…know if the….will come to …find us? The scientists…that i…is.”

Alex, seeing I out of the corner of his eye, he smiles towards him to know that his efforts were noticed, even though Alex wasn’t completely sure if he actually was trying to help calm him down, he just assumes. Alex nearly forget what’s making him so upset…he’s just kind of tired. “S…Sorry guys, I’m f…fine don’t worry.”

Alex sits there, starting at the floor, as if transfixed. He doesn’t really know what to do besides wait…wait until something happens. Unless they were just being left here to starve to death…or kill each other. He has a knife with him, if someone were to be in misery and beyond saving even if Juliet were here…he could just….end it for them to stop the pain. Not that he wants to or that he’s going to kill anyone or himself, but if it came down to it…
Ana watches both Elijah, who’s going between watching a wall, to Alex, to her, to the Alexis’ present, to scanning everyone else in the room anxiously, and Alex, concerned, even though she’s sure she looks pissed off. Which she is also. “What the fuck is even going on?!” Ana shouts out, completely and utterly overwhelmed.

Alex removes his arms from her, now hugging himself once more, not being hard with his slim frame, but he did feel better himself for possibly helping Lucy to feel better. Wait…should he tell them about…how we was made? He…doesn’t know. It’s something that they should find out eventually…but it’s not like he really knows them…but…they all seem so nice. The pink haired crossdresser decides it’s best to hold off on that a bit.
Being pulled out of his thoughts, he sees Lucy talking, only catching one word, that being “separated”.
“S-Seperated?! Are…we splitting up?!” Alex asks frantically, perhaps sounding a bit too loud and shrill for some people.

Elijah jumps a bit, as he was just beginning to doze off but the yell woke him up. He blinks a bit, trying to stay awake. I mean…he has to help protect the others right? At least in his mind he does. For example, He might protect Alex…and so might Ana, so he’ll also protect Ana too. Samuel’s protecting Velia, but who’s protecting Samuel? He can. And what if Samuel gets separated briefly from Velia and he’s near? He can then. And Dayla probably wants to help to protect people probably…but then who’s to protect her? He can help. And none of the other people in the room seem to know each other, so if he can, he’ll protect them. While this is…a lot to handle, it makes sense to him, the logic just adds up in his head.
Alex is looking down currently, only to scoot closer to Elijah, Samuel, Velia, Ana, and Dayla, who were making sure to stay together he thinks…but he didn’t want to only be standing next to only them…that might make everyone else in the room feel excluded and he most definitely will not exclude anyone that wants to be included!

Alex frowns, “I…am too. They made me deaf but…I can…Uh…if I touch…and object I can…’hear’…information about it…Uh, kind…of…um…”
He sees the tears, seeing them red, being blood, seems not to phase him. He just seems to care that they’re tears. The short Brit wraps his scrawny arms around her in an attempt to comfort her, not seeming to grasp that hugging a stranger is odd.

“Only good…” He mutters to himself. “Wait…are you…a um test…subject?” Alex asks.
((Neoma…I think your email is over quota…I detailed practically everything I have in my email folders basically…and now…I can send emails to other people…but it fails to send when I send them to you…sorry I can’t reply to either one I’ve been trying for a freaking hour—-))

He cuts himself off from spelling things out letter by letter…wait…he gathered that this girl is probably blind…and her eyes suggest so…if she was tested on to…maybe her eyes have a power? Maybe she can only see specific things or…something? Maybe it was to enhance another sense so they took one away…maybe he’d be better speaking…she might be able to hear his hand motions slightly but…that doesn’t help.
“Y-yes…I…am…hi?”

Alex looks at Dayla, catching her signing. Missing the first bit but getting it based on context, he signs back.

Alex continues to look at the group behind him, then back to I once more.
“We should…go…over there? I’m cold,” Alex says, shivering a bit. He’s still confused by the sack he but oh well.
He turns around, not waitig to attempt to poorly read I’s lips and begins walking quickly over, gesturing behind him for I to follow. Oh dear he hope he didn’t seem rude right now…but he just hopes to warm up by the fire and maybe make some friends.

Ana nods, “Onviously how can you not tell when Velia and Samuel are missing not to mention my own soul brother and soul twin and you just kind of…not sure if you disappeaed or were off somewhere.”
