Geralt sits down against one of the walls, his knife still in his hands. In a whisper I was kidnapped, more like pupnapped, from my family when I was little. I was living on the streets. I was strong and I was smart for one of us street-dwelling Lupides. Hell, I was the most promising of us all. Geralt’s eyes grow dark as he recalls the night everything changed. Then, one day they – the OGA – came and took me from everything I ever knew. I didn’t ask for it, no one had signed me up, they just took me. I don’t know how you’ll try to justify what they did, but what they did was against my free will. I should’ve had a choice. In their lab I saw other small Lupides and other races die under their experimentation. I was lucky enough – or unlucky, depending on how you look at it – to survive. I went into a coma. I don’t know for sure how long it was, perhaps two years. They only kept me alive in a tube because I had survived. They saw it as an opportunity to do whatever they want with no backlash. Geralt bows his head. Then, finally, I woke up. I was suspended in a tube. I could see many scientists within this lab, all writing on their datapads. I screamed and broke the glass; I realized that they had done something to me concerning my voice. I guess it fits since I’m a Lupide, we like to howl. Geralt chuckles a bit and then returns to his story. So, I escaped, obviously. I want to take the OGA because I don’t approve of the way they run things. They shouldn’t take people without their consent. Everyone deserves a choice. If someone signs up for your experiments, okay. If someone doesn’t, leave them alone. With his last word, Geralt bares his fangs, then he continues, fangs still bared. I am fighting OGA because I want to secure protection for my people, but not just them, all people. I don’t care if the OGA remains, but I want everybody to have a choice. I suspect you probably volunteered, so you wouldn’t understand what I feel. Geralt is grasping his knife now, ready to sink it into somebody… But he quickly calms down, releases his grip, and returns to normal. There is your answer.

Geralt looks at Kika for a moment. Then he whispers Why can’t you talk to me right now? We aren’t going anywhere. And besides, I don’t think we’ll have a chance to talk later. I have a suspicion that you’d try to kill both Odysseus and I at the earliest possible convenience. Geralt waits for Kika’s response once he unbounds her.

Geralt looks to Kika and says I’ll be right back as he follows Odysseus into the cockpit. Whispering, I don’t have a clue why she is scared of me. I haven’t done anything to harm her, that I know of. And since you say that, good. I don’t want to be under your control if shit hits the fan. And we need to keep her alive, I don’t want to hurt her, either. I’m heading back to her, now. Geralt walks back to Kika, who is still in the corner, her wrists and legs bound. I’m going to untie you, but you have to promise not to try anything funny, okay? Geralt looks deep into Kika’s eyes looking for any deeper meaning behind what she could say next. He also wanted to see how deep her fear for him ran.

Geralt takes Kika’s entire bag then looks to Kika. Is there anything else on this boat that we need to get or look into? Geralt looks back into the cockpit and notices the sniper’s rifle in the room. I’ll be taking that rifle in the cockpit. Geralt goes and grabs the rifle then returns to the room where Kika and Odysseus are.

Geralt nods in approval of Kika’s decision. Good choice. Odysseus moves to bind Kika’s hands and feet together. I don’t that that is truly necessary, but okay. Geralt keeps his eyes focused at a point between the two of them so he can equally watch both. The sound that Ody’s suit gives off is so annoying. He needs that thing to live, doesn’t he. It’s just so annoying to listen to his damn suit. I wander what Kika is thinking right now.

Geralt gets closer to Kika as she backs herself into a corner. Kika, you shot Jack right in his head. While I agree that Jack was an asshole and does a lot of shit wrong, I don’t agree with what you did. God damn it, I do agree, but Odysseus could easily write me off and I could never see Rose ever again. Geralt backs away and leans against a wall, pulling a serrated blade out of his coat pocket. You see, Kika, we need you to be compliant so that we don’t have to kill you. I personally don’t want to kill you, but Ody here doesn’t feel the same way I do. So, you need to be cooperative.

Geralt walks past Odysseus and looks right into Kika’s eyes. How long have you been working with the OGA?

As soon as Odysseus and Geralt are teleported onto Odysseus’ ship, Geralt feels a tad bit queasy, but it passes. So, this is his ship, eh? Upon first glance, Geralt can immediately tell that Odysseus takes good car of his ship and keeps it neat. It’s very neat on his ship. At least I know I don’t have to climb over everything to get anywhere. Geralt looks to Odysseus. So, what is our plan? As long as it’s not suicide, I’m in.

Raven walks directly to Haru. Sir, what are we going to begin our alchemy training with?

((I just went to one page to see what Nat commented on my post, and I flip back and everything I originally typed was there. I’M SO CONFUSED *cue the tears*))

Geralt leans back against the wall. So now I have to save Jack? God damn it all. What the fuck did I just get myself into? And now I have to take on Kika? Come on. I actually liked her. Damn it all. Geralt squeezes his fist as he comes to terms with what must be done. He then mumbles Damn it. Louder now Okay, Odysseus let’s do this. And for the record, Kika needed to be given a chance. I don’t regret protecting her and I never will. I did what was right at the time. We live in the moment and that’s how it works. *Sigh* Let’s get going. And do we have to kill Kika?

((Something that pisses me off is when I have something typed out and hit the wrong control + combination. I just cried a little bit because I just lost what I typed. Damn it all))

Geralt looks at Odysseus. Ody, it’d be suicide running in there. Remember, Jack has regenerative properties. A bullet in the skull won’t kill him. But we can’t just run in there. Besides, he is the entire reason I left The Keepers. He caused Rose to leave, I couldn’t stay once I figured that out. I really don’t want to save him, Ody. I’m actually relieved that Kika took care of him. I don’t want to deal with him again. Besides, you’re done with him. Why would you want to save him after that.

While Odysseus was thinking everything over about what was about to be done, Geralt heard his pack beeping. He pulls out a beeping earbud signaling that a live transmission has been lost and that a new recording ready to be listened to. Hold up a second Ody. Geralt pulls out a speaker and hooks it up to the earbud and plays the recording. The audio rings out loud and clear to both him and Odysseus. That’s Jack ad Kika’s voice. As Geralt and Odysseus listen to the recording, they come to discover that Kika has been a spy this entire time. So…. Kika has been a spy this entire time. I’m sorry Ody, but I can honestly say that I won’t miss Jack. I’m surprised, though, that Kika was actually a spy. I wish this weren’t the truth…. Geralt looks up to Odysseus, waiting for a response.

Geralt gives Odysseus a serious look. It’s time to get down to business. Alright, Ody, so we’re going to be working together. I want to trust you, and I’d like to have you as a comrade, but I need to know what I’ll be dealing with, in other words, your illness. I need to know what it is. I need to know everything. The more I know the safer I will be. Geralt moves towards Odysseus, hand outstretched. To a hopeful partnership. Geralt looks directly into Odysseus’ eyes.
