“Oh, you do?” Odysseus’s eyes glow permanently red, and his voice becomes deeper. “Please enlighten me. And don’t worry, I’m not here to kill you.”

Odysseus pulls out his flask and takes a sip of his tea, waiting for a response. “This is awkward.”

Odysseus coughs, his hands still shaking. “Gosh, I’m tired. This ordeal has taxed me completely.”

“Now, Jack. I think you need a drink. Why dont you take care of him, Rose? I’ll monitor the situation while I speak to Kika. Ok? Everything will be alright. I know how much this means to you, but you can’t lose sight in passion. We need to remain calm.”

Odysseus speaks into his suit monitor. “CAL, you awake? Monitor communications regarding where Midzog might be taking the children. And have SAL and GAL monitor the situation as well. Top priority.” CAL responds, ‘Right away, sir.’ Odysseus looks up at Jack, his eyebrow raised. “There, happy? I have my top AI’s working on it.”

“Find out where they were taken, so that we can actually have a plan. For now, I need to speak to Kika. Alone.” Odysseus’ hands are shaking.

“I’m sorry Katherine. We will have to speak later.” Odysseus sits up in his medbed, and his eyes flash red for a moment. “If everyone doesn’t mind, I would like to speak to Kika in private for a moment.”
