Piercings: Occasionally, Francis will wear and earring.

Tattoos: None.

Scar: All of Francis scars are very faint. So faint that is he didn’t show you them, you would never see them. He is covered in them. One the left side of his body down to his thigh he has burns from the Moscow, he felt bad and attempted to help Ivan who threw him into a burning building because he was so angry. During WWII he went Paris was captured by Germany he was captured and torments he has faint scars on his wrist, chest, back, neck and even some on his face. Francis had a hard time after Scotland left and Jeanne died, so on his right arm there is a scar that cannot be seen unless the light touches it a certain way. Francis tried to kill himself only that once. He drinks to quell any depression away, he doesn’t hurt himself like the others.

Francis is a sweet kind man who loves just about everyone. He hasn’t had the easiest life, (even though it seems differently to others.) and with teasing and constant accusations of rape, his self-confidence has suffered. On the other side of the cheery and flirtatious man, he is lonely and a bundle of insecurities.

Francis can’t remember his mother and father, only his “Papa” or Grandpa Rome. One of the oldest countries, he tried to be a “Big Brother” to a lot of the younger ones, but with the things he was taught by his papa, have changed people opinions of him. He was raped and sexually abused as a child. He just wanted Rome’s approval so he let him do as he pleased to him. He was sexually abused as a child up until Rome vanished. To this day he still doesn’t accept that it was that way. He’s never told anyone.

There really are only three people Francis has ever loved romantically. The first is Scotland. Having been Allies, friends and lovers, Francis has always had a special place in his heart for the fiery red head. He loves him, plain and simple. He always will make his way back to him. Even if they are not lovers they are best friends and are always there for one another.

The second was Ivan. During the rule of Catherine the Great, France and Russia grew very close. They are good friends and understand the other’s loneliness. Francis was the one who took Ivan’s virginity, they both remember it fondly but it makes Ivan get very flustered at every sweet word or gently touch.

The third and probably the most important to him still, was Joan of Arc. Francis was in love with her and she loved him. They were soul mates, but because he was a country and she a human, her fate was sealed from the very beginning. On May 30th 1431, Joan (Jeanne in French ) was burned at the stake by England, not once but three times. Then her ashes were thrown from the Seine.

Francis plays nice with Arthur but will never forgive him for what he did to her. When the 30th of May rolls around he goes into a deep depression. He is easily agitated, quick to anger and tears. He smokes much more during this time and also does not tend to eat, because he becomes physically ill. The day of the 30th he locks himself in his room and no one is able to get him to come out until the next day. Not even Gilbert or Antonio.

– He suffers from coughing fits that can be debilitating.
