Sucre Planetarium and Memorial Observatory
The Sucre Planetarium and Memorial Observatory stands as a solemn and luminous monument to the celestial and the lost. Crafted from moonstone and duskglass, its domes shimmer with a pale inner glow, echoing the constellations above even in daylight.
The observatory serves dual purposes: a sanctuary for the contemplation of the cosmos, and a reverent archive of those who vanished beneath its gaze. Within its vast marble halls, astronomers, lorekeepers, and spirit-watchers gather to chart the stars, interpret celestial omens, and honor the memories of those who were taken by war, plague, or the Deep Sky’s call.
The central chamber—known as the Hall of Echoing Lights—houses a rotating celestial dome that displays the night sky of every recorded age. Beneath it, thousands of names are etched into obsidian plinths, each corresponding to a light in the heavens. Pilgrims often leave offerings: strands of starlace, memory-ink scrolls, and softspoken names whispered into the dome’s heart.
Scholars say it is a place of knowledge. Dreamers say it is a place of grief. But all who stand beneath its great dome agree: the Sucre Observatory watches the sky not to map it, but to enjoy it.
