About

There were two statuses in this area: Supernatural or Human.
/Most/ humans were considered low-class, peasants, just because they didn’t have the unique powers that the supernatural folks did. Some were even slaves. The supernatural were of royalty.

It was winter.
The town held a masquerade ball each year, on the very first day of December. It was a great deal to the townsfolk — though mostly everything was — and took a lot of preparing. It was held at the Center Hall, as it always did.
Both humans and paranormal alike were invited, but only if one had the clothes and the class. Humans would steal dresses, suits, makeup, and masks to disguise themselves to get into the ball. No one could know they were human or they would be kicked out — or worse, eaten alive.
