Effort: The resource you spend in order to pull off quick Godly powers. This includes Gifts, Miracles, and other such things. You never “lose” Effort. You Commit it. When you Commit Effort, you either keep it Committed for a certain amount of time then it get back, or you Commit it and are able to Reclaim it whenever you want. However, whenever you reclaim Effort, whatever you spent it on ends.

Dominion: The more powerful version of Effort. You gain Dominion when you do things worthy of a Godbound (killing a very powerful supernatural entity, stopping a Tyrant in charge of a small city, removing a curse that has been inflicted upon an entire village, etc.). You spend Dominion in order to make lasting changes on the world (creating a Paradise for lost souls, destroying a Night Road, curing an incurable disease). Once you spend enough Dominion and have enough EXP, you can Level Up. When you make things with Dominion the only things that can remove them are other supernatural beings with enough physical force, or enough Dominion to remove them.

Influence: It can be Committed like Effort, but works differently. Whenever there’s something that you want to do, but don’t want to spend time RPing it, use Influence. This represents your character going off and dealing with it “off screen”. As long as the Influence is Committed, you will keep doing the action. You can reclaim Influence at any time.

EXP: You need EXP in order to Level Up. You gain EXP whenever you play the game. This means just showing up, fighting, or struggling through an encounter. How many you get depends on the GM.

Level Up: Once you get enough EXP and have spent enough Dominion, you can Level Up. Your Max HP increase by 4. Your Max Effort and Influence increase by 1. You gain a new Fact related to your deeds. And you get 2 upgrade points to be spend on Greater Gifts and Lesser Gifts.

Miracles: Freeform Divine Power usage. Whenever you want to do something that isn’t a Gift, but falls under your Word, then you use a Miracle. To use a Miracle, simply explain exactly what it is you want to do. Then Commit the Effort, and boom it happens. There is no real limit to what Miracles can do, except that they can’t make long lasting change. They can only make short term changes. You need Dominion to make them permanent.

Words: Divine Words that give those that know them power over the very things that reality is made of. If something falls under your Word, you own it. Though how this is manifested depends on the Godbound. If you have the same Word or powers as another being, you can cancel out their powers and vice versa. Alternatively, you can explain how your power lets you stop an ability of theirs (forming an Ice Wall with the word of Sea to stop an oncoming Firestorm).

Gifts: The Divine Powers that a Godbound can wield outside of Miracles. Gifts are more focused and less free form than Miracles, but are just as powerful. There are four types of Gifts, but for this RP we will only be using three: Constant, On Turn, and Action. Constant Gifts are active as long as you have the Gift. On Turn can be used as long as it’s your turn and as long as you have the Effort for them. Lastly, Action can only be used on your turn, and take up your Action. Meaning you can’t use this Gift and attack someone at the same time.

The Uncreated Night: The Void that swallows all of Creation. From it emerge the Uncreated and Night Roads.

The Uncreated: Creatures from the Night Roads that hate all things in a Realm. Their very presence distorts the Reality around them.

Night Roads: Roads that lead into and out of the Uncreated Night. They appear at random, and have random means of opening and closing. It is almost impossible to destroy/close a Night Road, except through an act equivalent to a Gift or Theurgy.
