Something registered through my unconsciousness. A blade of grass, tickling my arm. Slowly I open my hazel eyes, only to squint at the too blue sky filtering through the branches on the trees above. I sit up and rub my tired eyes. Why had I been sleeping in a forest? Last time I had checked I was in bed, at home…  This was strange. I slowly climb to my feet- I was, of course, still in my pajamas- and look around.

“Where… Am I?” I asked, completely and thoroughly baffled at my predicament. A nearby bush rustled and I spun to face it, watching a small cat walk out. A small BLUE cat. Dear Lord I was seeing things. In it’s mouth-hanging limp- was a fish, about the size of my head. Not only was his appearance strange, being blue and holding a fish and all, but he was walking on two legs of all things. TWO. Upon seeing me and my totally gorgeous face – by that I mean my face that is so twisted in confusion and shock I probably looked like a monkey – this strange cat stopped. He looked up at me with wide eyes and chortled. (Yes, I said chortled. Live with it.)

“Heheh… You look funny.” He said. Wait a second… He could TALK?!?

“Oh you’re nice…” I mutter, hopelessly trying to cover my oh so beautiful face with a bit of hurt feels.

“Well you are standing in the middle of Magnolia Forest wearing nothing but pyjamas.” He explained, raising one paw to point at me. “It is kinda funny if you think about it.”

“It’s not like I’m here because I want to be. I’m actually pretty lost, and don’t know how the hell I got here.” I counter, kinda flustered that this cat was getting the better of me. So what if he was blue, could talk, and walked on two legs? I was a human. He shouldn’t be making fun of me like this. “I was in my house when I fell asleep and now… Well, I woke up here and I’m now talking to a blue cat.” I begin to think I might be hallucinating or going crazy or something, and start laughing like a lunatic. The cat, unsurprisingly worried about the state of my mind at this current moment, starts laughing alongside me, nervously.

“Wait… What are we laughing about again?” He asks, just as some shadowy figure bursts out of the bushes behind me and tackles me to the ground.  Since today couldn’t possibly get any worse… I landed on my face.

“OW!” I exclaim in meek protest. “Get off me!” I struggle beneath the weight of this intruding brute, he was pretty heavy after all. Just as the icy cold talons of fear begin to grip my heart, and panic starts settling in, the brute gets up. Suddenly I can breathe again, and I look over my shoulder to glare at the newcomer.

“Hey sorry about that. You really shouldn’t be just standing around like that though. ” I push myself to my knees and look at him carefully. He was almost on par with the cat in strange appearances. He had spiky, pink hair and sharp, yellow eyes. On top of that he was openly showing his chest-almost proudly- through an open, black vest. He had abs, God help me. Some strange tattoo-vaguely resembling a phoenix of some kind in my eyes- shone black on his upper right shoulder. Hanging on his pants were a sort of pale peach pants, luffing out and ending just beneath the knees, were they returned to form fitting with black rings. On his feet were black sandals. Oh, almost didn’t notice that scaly peach colored scarf on his neck. Nope, can’t forget that detail. He held out his hand to help me up, and – hesitantly- I grabbed it. Soon we were both on our feet -well I was at least, he had been before. I winced slightly as I noticed a sharp pain in my ankle. Grand, it was twisted.

“Hi Natsu!” The blue cat said happily, smiling and waving to the man who’s name was Natsu. He smiled and let go of me, running over to his little friend and leaving me without balance for a moment.

“Happy! There you are!” He said. The cat’s name was Happy. Of course it was. How could I think otherwise.  “Aw man you caught us a fish too! Thanks buddy!”

“Aye sir!” The cat exclaimed, holding up the fish for Natsu to look at. Just like that I felt forgotten, but not for long. Natsu squated beside Happy and leaned in to the cats ear, cupping his mouth as though he didn’t want me to hear, and squinting at me suspiciously.

“Hey, what’s up with her?” He asked in a soft, whispery voice. Happy shrugged at the question.

“She says she just woke up here, I dunno what she’s doing though. I don’t believe her.” He whispered back.

“I can hear you guys y’know.” I mutter grumpily. Natsu looks at me in shock.

“What you can?!? Holy crap!” I couldn’t tell if he was joking or not, but it irritated me nonetheless.

‘Yeah, I can.” I answer. Suspiciously, he gets up and watches me.

“So uh… Where are you from?”

    “Canada.”

“And uh… Where’s that?” He begins to look as confused as me. Good, now I wouldn’t be the only one to look like a monkey.

“North America, Earth, The Milky Way…” I wave my hands as if to specify, when really I was getting vaguer and vaguer.

“Uh huh….” His voice was disbelieving. I didn’t blame him. “Well, Gramps should know where that is!” He runs forward and grabs my arm, dragging me along in a painful manner to God Knows Where, with the blue cat flying behind us. With wings.l Yep. Just when I thought it wasn’t any weirder… Then it strck me hard… I wasn’t in North America anymore… I was on an entirely different planet altogether.
