Walking down the path in his assassin’s armor it made his stand out but for these new days he had to the hammer staff was separated and resting on his hips either side the massive war-hammer was strapped to his back. the pack he had was slung over his shoulder. Had he walked here? How had he arrive? questions that left no answer he stopped right where the grass faded out and the sand began. Running a check over the area he was getting crazy readings that made little since to him. His master had told him his gear would be useless he would need to rely on his training more then his tech. The tech had been given to him once he had proven his strength without it and his ability. He had yet to dull his senses as he did not use the tech on every mission only on the high priority ones he was sent on even then he didn’t always use it but from the looks of how things where he needed it here at least for some of its functionality such as the protection it provided against the elements. Once he was done he took the helmet off but his face was covered in a black ski mask that fitted his face to show its outlines his eyes where covered by thick tinted lenses that allowed for the diffusion of the HUD so that it did not get in the way of his mission this helped with the bright light of the desert he was looking out into. noting his first objective had been completed he stepped onto the sand and glanced behind him seeing desert in every direction and took a breath. He then took on a steady walk but it was no hurry just average holding his helmet under his arm as he watched the area He continued a forward motion he didn’t know where to go but he knew where he was going and that was forward part of his orders where to keep going straight do not lose your center line. The rest of his orders didn’t make sense to him it seemed like the apple had resurfaced. and if that was the case he couldn’t risk letting it out. He knew about the history of his order. Walking Through the sand he was careful where he stepped and stopped when he stepped on what felt like a soft spot and slipped his helmet back on and scanned the ground checking for quicksand.

Jack has seen the other warrior following the path so he fell back and waited for him to vanish which has been explained to jack was just a rift into another plain of existence. This confused him until the case of cash was shown to him by the man with purple hair and he smiled as if he read jacks mind. Jack was then given the bag of gear and his weapons and directed towards the direction for the battle. He saw the man finnaly vanish so he got out of his car closing the door and opening the bag picking up the case for his rifle and strapping it over his shoulder and strapping the desert eagle to his thigh. He put the backpack on and drank his soda before throwing it into his truck. He was told he could have whatever he wanted before entering the arena so he then eat some apples and a thing of gummy bears happily. He stuffed a couple more bags of gummy bears into his pockets since he was told he could have whatever he wanted in there. He then pulled out his pistol and looked around not seeing anyone not expecting anyone to be around so he stepped into the portal to find himself alone. He had expected this, wouldnt be much of a hunt if everyone was togeather at the start. He holstered his pistol and pulled out his rifle and slowly began to spin on the spot not taking a step to choose his direction. His rifle had thousand meter scope so since no one could be seen by this scope there was no chance he could be shot by another sniper at the time. He looked up at the sky and judged that it was about noon so he took a deep breath and stepped forward an began to hike forward wondering if the sky would follow the rest of the earths twelve hour cycle. He put his rifle back in its case before throwing it over his shoulder and sat down and looked around and sighed. He got out his blacket and the two sticks and began to draw a arrow next to the tent in the direction at which he had chosen. He then dug a hole then stabbed the sticks into the ground and then placed his blanket over the sticks so he now had a tent. He placed the bed roll down into the hole and taking of the backpack off he decided to sleep doring the day and travel at night.-

Jackal walked forward, stepping off the grassy land and into the barren sandy wasteland. He stooped down, looking towards the sand analytically as he scooped some of it towards his hand, and smelled it. He then took to licking it the sand from his hand, and then spitting it out to his side. Would have preferred more trees. But oh well.

Jackal wasn’t exactly sure about how he got here. Just some…black thing visiting him. Talking with him. Then the next thing he knew he was here with all his gear. It was all the gear he would have choosen, if he was given the chance to choose his gear. He looked over some piece of paper that explained his objective to him, and Jackal took to strolling. There would be others here. Probably not the friendly types. Not that he was a friendly to most himself.

He saw a path, clearly a few others had traveled it and Jackal sought to simply, stay along the path where possible. He wanted to keep an eye out for anyone. Jackal saw a Cactus and decided to stop over by it. He leaned by it, took out his cellphone. Stared dead into the front face and took a picture next to the cactus. With that, nobody seemed to be there, so he just went on his way. Long walk ahead. But Jackal had the stamina and endurance to keep walking for miles if need be. Running from the cops helped him build that Stamina. Still. Should have brought more food. He can’t really run too efficiently with all this gear for any sort of distance. Would be impractical outside of combat. Energy was vital here, because he had a long way to go.

Being in a hoodie here helped protect from the sun but it sucked overall. He began to think. This is a dessert. Gonna get cold at night. But having grown up in the streets of “Gothic” and run around New York, he was used to cold. And decided he’d probably do best traveling at night. With a Mesa up ahead he decides to go over to it and hunker down. Heat wasn’t unbearable but Jackal preferred the cold.

He went deeper into the cave, seeing well but taking his phone out and activating the flashlight app on it to see perfectly. Cave didn’t go very deep. Good. He scanned it for wildlife. Maybe he could catch a snake and find stuff for a fire. Never had snake before. Maybe if he makes it out of this he can goto the south. Hear there is some nice food down there….

A seventeen year old boy has eyes closed as his steps rock back and forth on the grassy path. He had on headphones and a cd player in his hand. The echoing and soft words of “Voodoo” by Godsmack tickling his being as he brought his other hand to his mouth, a joint he’d rolled at home. The sweet taste entered his lungs as he came to the edge of the path and stopped. His eyes focused ahead as he looked across what was sand that he’d not be able to return from. He took the last bit of his joint and sucked it clean. He felt his fingers burn a bit and that made him drop the rest. He’d put all the good stuff in the end he’d already smoked, so he just stepped on the burning end to put it out. He walked out into the desert and thought back.

He’d been approached by this weird dude. He was approached at the wrong time that day because he’d just smoked a joint that he couldn’t remember what the hell was laced in it, but the person looked like a purple moose in a rainbow sailor outfit. Good thing the moose hung around until he turned back into a person to tell him to head out here. He was told about the desert and the first thought was how sweet it’d be to smoke some in the desert for a change of pace, even though he was told it was to be a survival. More people? More high people.

He stepped into the desert and peeked behind him. He smirked to just see more desert and said, “Dude… the hell that guy lace my shit with?” He looked back forward and began walking, checking his pockets and doing something he knew he should. He checked his supplies on him, knowing he’d only used a tad bit to make one joint. He checked his food, still had all he packed. He was just as set as before he smoked one. He hoped he’d get to see some cool desert things, like two scorpions doing the natural do. He didn’t know how far to go, mostly hoping to find a place to set up. If surviving was key, a great place to set up was in order. He walked forwards in search of a dead tree or a cactus of some kind, preparing himself for the worse mentally.

He saw through the HUD that it was not quicksand and smiled and continued to walk the red line pointing his way no matter how he turned the line always pointed the proper direction. He Sighed and then stopped watching the flare and hearing the man make his statement he wondered if the man knew yet that his master has not come forth and he now headed towards the center keeping an eye out for others though he looked to the sand and smirked and got an idea and stopped where he was and reached behind him and took out his Warhammer and spun it in a circle once it crested at its highest point he took with all his force and slammed it down tell it was a pole sticking into the air and he hopped up onto it and surveyed the area though not as talented as his master who had eagle vision he still knew well enough to mark dunes and platus that would serve as landmarks and hopped off he made mental note of these and not on his HUD that way even if his helmet was lost or he lost the energy to run it he could simply discard it and still find his way he then hopped down and gripped the hammer ripping it up out of the sand and spinning it threw the air to clear off anything that might have attached itself to it before placing it back on his back and started to walk again but this time he was moving a bit more quickly to make haste he would move when the temperature would even out until then he got moving to make haste then would rest tell he could continue his journey he would rest during the day and during the night and travel during dusk and dawn tell the weather became to intense. But he would rest not sleep accept during the day when he made camp and would rest at night but travel during the between times when the weather would be ideal.

Hunter laid in his hole eating his gummy bears slowly one every half hour knowing that this was enough sugar to keep the body in motion if he splayed it out for days and not all at once that was why he grabbed three bags of one hundred gummy bears. He looked to the sky and saw the flare and hearing the words “yeah yeah take your bullshit and leave this fight to me Ill be the winner and all of these fulls will be head before they even have a moment to breath in these warm lands. He had been in many places around the world so this desert was nothing special so he looked to the sky and waited to see what would happen next.

Jackal was inside the cave but went outside, sneaking with his Beowulf as he saw something. looked up at the sky. At the flare. Whatever pal. I’m f***ed any which way we do this so I wasn’t gonna know peace anyway. I’m just trying to get the less f***ed. He thought to himself as he went back into his cave. He took cover and then went deeper into the cave, into the dark, where he was more at home. He was gonna start on a ration, but then he heard something with his keen senses as he paused. Food.

A small Scorpion crawled along the wall. He heard the little crittering sounds the thing made in absolute silence and he squinted his eyes as they locked on the smaller thing, a predator eyeing it’s prey. He raised his hand, and aiming at his target and it was a blur as he snatched it with his hand going around 28 mph easily. He held it up to his face, the Scorpion dangling by it’s stinger and then Jackal opened his mouth and his tongue as he placed the insect in it.

The small bug scrambled on JAckal’s tongue trying to escape in vane as ate it whole. All except the tail. Which he bit and threw away. His teeth clamped down on the creature’s exoskeleton so that all the juices could flow from it’s body and into his mouth. ….Crunchy. Thing was of course raw and it didn’t really taste like chicken. IT was mostly tasteless, but tasted slightly, like crab. But, it was mostly just a crunchy taste shell filled with juices. Even after the teeth came down it, he could feel twitch on his tongue. He chewed it more thoroughly and then swallowed it.

Now content, he decided to just lay down and rest until night. His clothes were kind of heavy and the desert heat made him sweat more under his hoodie and body armor. He isn’t used to the heat. Best to just wait t’ill night. Jackal didn’t have much trouble sleeping on the floor, as he was used to it. With his ear to the hard floor, he’d hear anything approaching him from within the cave. Things outside were harder unless they got close, since sand naturally absorbed vibrations for him to listen for.

Jackal laid down and went to sleep, his ear on the ground as he remains alert.

Simple walked a while and found some small cactus, bending down and looking at them with a squinted smile. He chuckled a bit and said, “Hey tiny cactus! I am going to name you Freckle.” He stood back up to keep walking until a sword was stuck right in between his feet from nowhere. He looked at it and tilted his head, “Dude…” Then he heard Dagon’s voice but his mind was definitely seeing the sword talk. He grabbed the handle and picked it up, “Whatever you say man. I ain’t got much shit going on so life or endless death seems so damn chill with me bro. What’s your name talking sword dude?” He felt the weight being heavier than he was used to, placing it back down in the sand and waiting for the sword to respond.

He took out a roll of duct tape and unraveled his bed roll, placing a layer of duct tape on the bottoms and the sides. He then placed a second layer on the bottom with the sticky end facing up and a small tab holding it to the bed. Then he placed a layer on top of that one with the edges sticking out further than the bed. He then took a strand of duct tape and placed it out around the edge carefully with the sticky side out so it faced out and away from the sides of the bed, tucking the tabs up onto it. He did this the whole way around the edge carefully, then pressing a layer the other way to overlap the top and alternating until there was a foot and a half wall around his bed roll.

He took a sigh as he looked at his work and he picked up the sword to place it onto the bed roll. He then sat in the bed roll and placed his pack off to the side as he took out a bag of chips. They were broiled unsalted potato slices that were so good and crunchy. He thought about other things he could try and he wanted to make a canopy, with a place for wind to squeeze through and a rain collector. That might have just been the weed talking, though. He decided to sit back, eat a bit, and relax to wait for nightfall. Couldn’t be too much longer, he thought, but he didn’t have a good sense of time.
