Apollo put his hand on Jack’s shoulder. “This room, it, reminds me of someone special.”

Apollo looked at the room again. “This room reminds me of my older sister.”

<i>Odysseus goes down to the last, furthest room in the hallway, and writes his name into the keypad on the wall, setting in a password as well. </i>

<i>Katherine looked at all the rooms carefully before choosing the smallest room, she cleaned it and stared at the room before her. The walls were blank and everyone was bare, she sighed as she curled up a bit. </i>”I guess I’m staying here for a while….”
Katherine shook it off and walked towards Jack and the others, she stopped at the door as she heard them. “If you um want, my offer for lending an ear is still available.” She said as she gave Jack a small encouraging smile.

“Just echoes.” Jack whispered. “You’re not my first team. Everything dies, I suppose. Moves on. Did you know I had a daughter?” He asked.

Katherine shook her head as she stood still, “No, I’m afraid not.”

“Yeah. I did. So did he. But in another universe.” Jack said, pointing at Ody.Â
“But he lives in another universe that I did. He came here afterwards. He’s me, you know.” Jack said to Rose.

Katherine nodded silently, letting Jack get everything off of his chest first.

Apollo looks at Jack. “I’ve never had kids.”

“Had a daughter. She died. Had a wife. She died. Ody’s me from an alternate universe coming into mine, only without being abducted by the OGA and experimented on. He’s me from a world where I never went nuts.” Jack said softly.
“I’ve lost friends, family, everyone. And I can’t even die. Every time I’m blown up, shot, stabbed, suffocated, I come back with a little more crazy. And that makes me a time-bomb. You haven’t seen me go nuts yet. I don’t want you to.”

“I’m not you though. An Ascendius is the same Ascendius throughout all the universes. Like, another universe Apollo will be exactly the same.”

“That’s not entirely true.” Odysseus tells from his bedroom. “And Jack, I’m just as much you as anyone else. We are not the same, at all. Different names. Different life. We may have even looked the same once, yes, and we may have the same origin, but we are too different to compare.”

“Shut up, Ody.” Jack said.Â
“He gets all whiny every time I say that. He’s disappointed in me, that’s why. He doesn’t like to be reminded I’m him. We’re the same person. He hates being called Jack, so he changed his name. He’s old now. So he’d look like me if I were super skinny and around fifty.” Jack whispered.

“For Ascendii, it is true. We’re interdimensional beings that just didn’t quite get it, how do you think mirroring works? And why are we discussing from our bedrooms when we could be doing this in the bathroom or the gym or something?” Apollo jumps out of his bedroom. “Last one to the gym has to do 20 grasshoppers and without wings you’re dead!”
