Apollo put the comm to his ear. “Yeah, okay. But don’t say you’re a double agent, it makes me kinda want to punch you in the face.”

Apollo landed the OGA ship next to Katherine’s base. He then ran up to the big door and rang the doorbell. “Hey, Malice, Katherine. I’m here with Pandora. We split from Jack. I also cloaked the OGA ship so the kids don’t get scared, we’re painting it later.”

Apollo continued listening to Jack. “Mmhm. Keep talking.” Apollo switched his comm system to Katherine. “Katherine, we’re on our way. How are the kids? And no, Jack isn’t coming with us.”

Apollo looked at Jack. “The true reason for my sister’s death was you. You weren’t able to defend her when she trusted you with it. Maybe it’s a good idea that you go alone. At least you won’t be hurting anybody but yourself.” Apollo turned and tapped Pandora. “I think you should come with me.” Apollo gave a dirty look to Jack and hit the button on his transmat machine. “Goodbye Jack. I wish you were able to do something but all you’re capable of causing is dilemmas. Weak. Very weak. You say strength comes from the muscle, when it really comes from desire. Go help someone for a change, I’m done cleaning up. This time, you fall off the cliff with nobody to catch you. You burn in a fire with nobody to extinguish. You take an electric current without anyone to short it. I quit your team.” Apollo jumped in the OGA ship docked to Jack’s and takes off with Pandora.

“We forced your door open to protect you. Instead, you ungratefully want us slammed out. Andaluza was mad just because you wanted to seize control of a team that worked until now, which an unstable madman is at the wheel! If you hadn’t kicked out Andaluza, the team would’ve been smoother and we wouldn’t have Ree problems, however you shouldn’t know since you’ve never even had the guts to fight him face to face! Let’s stop this before it gets out of hand and come up with a resolution.”

Apollo turned Jack back to him. “Look, Ree can install abilities on himself and is unstable. Capturing them would only endanger everybody else. And if you don’t like our style then you should just leave. You’ve done it once, you can do it again.”

Apollo jabbed Jack in the shoulder. “Hey. You’re missing the point. You should’ve at least done something about it. Ree is a powerhouse, much like Ozymandias. We did it just fine without you but it would’ve been over quicker. They also got away. Andaluza is easy, but Ree is a different story. You should’ve seen that guy before you make assumptions about them.”

Apollo began brushing the soot off of himself. “Jack! While you were drinking in orbit with no idea where we were down on the surface of Hesperia we kind of just took out two OGA people like Ree and Andaluza. We’re going back to Earth now. Thanks for nothing, group leader.”

(I’m confused…is Katherine and Malice coming with us to Earth?)

Apollo poked the button and docked the OGA ship to Jack’s. “Pandora, good job today. Relax, we’re on our way back now. We can freshen up back at Jack’s base.”

Apollo smiled back. “Jack took the team back to himself. I’m his right hand man so I guess I share his privileges as well. Thank you, by the way. Your loyalty to The Keepers may not be exactly there, but your sense of what is right is perfect.”

Apollo pointed to Ree’s gunship. “We also got ourselves a new spaceship. We’ll dock this to Jack’s and take them both back. Sounds goo-oh you’re not coming? That’s ok, but we’ll keep in touch. Here’s my comm channel, it’s 5-SE, the password is embedded in the paper.” Apollo signaled Pandora that it’s time to go back. “Good work today, everyone. The OGA is a rising power, but we can keep it as low as possible.”

Apollo smiled. “What do you think we do anyways? We’ll be doing things as we go, no longer one set goal. So, you’re in?”

Apollo quickly looked at everyone. “Hey, do you want to come back to Jack’s base with us? It’s too unsafe here, you can ride in Jack’s gunship which we “borrowed.””

Apollo wiped the sweat and blood from his face before weakly raising a fist. “Hooray, he’s gone!” Apollo then walked slowly over to Pandora, Malice, and Katherine. “Any injuries that need noticing right now?”
