Apollo noticed the apologetic look on Jack’s face. “It’s alright. When you spend 600 years with someone, you sort of forget boundaries.” Apollo was also a little miffed that he wasn’t involved in the hug, but decided to hug everyone anyways. “We’re one big happy family!”

Apollo punched Jack across the face lightly. “I wasn’t the Fly and I’m not going to go with it, ever. That thing was stupid. And the Shavari part is true, Jack isn’t all tall tales!”

Apollo ran from the top of the cockpit bridge to Jack. “We’re entering the Thermian Star system and almost orbiting Ctherramore! Rose and I gotta get going.” He then took out the knife again. “Let’s do this.”

Apollo looked at Rose sadly. “The OGA began to desire power.”

Apollo thought of the OGA’s first innocent project; to unite Inversia. “Ascendii were always an interplanetary race, developing on both Inversia and Dramodas rather parallel. They have stuck together for generations on end, except the Ascendii and the Inversics never got along. No wars were fought between the two races, but the planets were terraformed to suit both races. Ascendii owned the east, Inversics owned the west of Inversia. Ascendii had lava covered landscape with thick clouds, and Inversics got grassy and forest cliffs, with thick clouds.”

Apollo thought about Rose’s comment, but didn’t agree with it. “Humans are naturally weak, compared to what is out there. However, their processing power of their brain is irreplaceable. They are more creative than Ascendii. Technology is the only chance they’ve got.”

“Humans are based off of carbon, but we’re silicon beings. We don’t breathe oxygen, we respirate with nitrogen. Human skin can be cut easily. Our muscle fibers are tougher. I can go on for hours about our differences, but the point is, we can’t change our appearances. We have to go legitimately as ourselves.”

Apollo put his head in his hands once he realized what Midzog was able to do. “You’re right, Rose. But the frozen clouds. He managed to make entire ships mirror through them. He has thousands of Ascendii workers. Hopefully our starfighter will be small enough to slip through the overcast. If we hit the cloud, we might shatter it.”

Apollo looked at the mission charts. “Of all planets, why is Midzog on Ctherramore-3? The landscape is horrible. The surface is below frozen clouds, and that’s the tops of cliffs. There are drops that lead to the planet’s core off of cliffs. Watch your step. The good thing is, the air is thick. This makes flying extremely easy. In fact, the air is so thick, if someone with Jack’s strength wears flat bottomed shoes, they can effectively leap twice, but only twice. The air will be extremely cold, so if you feel it heating up, tell us immediately. That means the ground will crack. Ctherramore is a hostile paradise. If you get cut, it will heal twice as fast. You don’t need to drink water, since the air is already damp with moisture. And-” Apollo decided to stop talking because that was all the information that was needed. Instead, he began examining the mission suit he was wearing.

Apollo looked at it once and handed it back, careful not to bleed it to anyone. “If you ever want to talk, let me know.”

Apollo looked over Jack. “I probably looked the same. Kind of. Well, I actually wore armor back then.”

Apollo went over to Rose. “Mind if I look? I guess it was personal, but if someone else knows, you’ll be better off.”

Apollo put his hand on Jack’s shoulder. “You were quite impressive after that. It took a tree for me to arrest you after that.”

Apollo handed the Project Atlas file to Jack. “Read the footnote first, and then the entire thing. It’ll make a lot more sense.”

Apollo looked at Rose. “It’s alright. We all do things like that-” Apollo remembered Rose running away, burning everything. “-actually we don’t but you get the idea. It’ll be alright. I’ve never liked taking away lives, but if Midzog had the guts to do this, his guts will be mine.”
