After sleeping for 1 hour, Apollo felt ready to wake up. He slowly walked up to the main bridge where Rose was. “Hey, I’m done using the washing machine. If you’re tired, feel free to use it. I’ll watch orbit for a while.”

Apollo patted Pandora on the head. ‘She looks so peaceful when she’s asleep. She’ll be ready.’

Apollo pointed to the exit and a massive window. “Strategic watchman post in Betty. You might wake up either extremely sticky with sweat or nice and happy, depending on your mood.”

Apollo opened the door between the machines. “It’s awkward sleeping alone in the dryer for your first night. I’m right here if you need me, just heat up the door a little bit.”

Apollo looks directly at Pandora, putting his mission suit on. “This is my living quarters. I turn it on for fun sometimes. And-” Apollo points to the dryer “-Same living arrangements as me!”

Apollo said goodnight and went to the laundry room. “Goodnight!” Apollo then jumped into the washing machine. “Pandora or Rose, the dryer is empty.”

Apollo decided to actually sleep today. “Jack, don’t be so negative. It’s not even realistic. We’ll make it out alive. The OGA may be ruthless, but we’re sensible. We can live to fight another day.”

Appearance: Apollo is a tall slender being that has short black hair and a clean face (Ascendii don’t grow facial hair until they look about 30). Wears an Ascendii scout outfit or a mission suit.

Race: Ascendii

Personality: Apollo is the physical form of loyalty, which hasn’t turned on Jack for 600 years. He is hyperactive and mostly positive, although he’s more realistic than optimistic. Apollo may seem to be just fine on the outside, but every day he is forced to deal with the fact that one of his friends might die the next.

Background: Born into an Ascendii family of four, his parents died soon after laying the egg that contained him. (Ascendii lay eggs, deal with it, yes Pandora and Rose, you will too when the time comes). He grew up with his older sister, Shavari, until she died. He met Jack shortly after Shavari’s death, when he was 5, and has been following Jack around ever since.

Skills: Apollo has extremely accurate aim when throwing/burning/shooting anything. He is an expert flyer and one of the fastest Ascendii in the known universe, although he never attempted to shatter the record. He’s also an adept cook, although doesn’t exactly make normal food. Apollo is able to fight most of the time using the terrain, but tends to fail worse in an open space with nothing to use.

Powers: Flight, Fire creation/manipulation, electrokinetic abilities, weather/atmospheric manipulation, strength, and running speed. Cooking is a power. Apollo is also able to explode things with his vision, but refuses to do so on all occasions.

Apollo held Pandora still. “Wow, you’re more hyperactive than Rose says I am on a normal day. Don’t be mad, Andaluza will teach you someday.”

Apollo hands Ody back his copy of the map. “Andaluza already implanted the map in my brain, I’ll be ok. By the way, you’re the new leader of the team. I can’t take it anymore.” Apollo smiled and shook Ody’s hand.

Apollo looked over at Jack. “There’s a reason behind everything, and why I should have gone. Whatever is done is done, and I’m fine that you at least tried. On the bright side, we no longer have to hide ourselves on entry since they know!” Apollo highfived Jack. “You may do stupid things but you’re a genius!”

Apollo looked down at the planet. “We gotta take Betty down there. Rose, Pandora, and I will try to create a shielding to prevent the radar from spotting us. No use destroying it, since Midzog will know. We’ll decide what to do when we get there.”

Apollo shrugged. “You’re missing the liquid asparagus!” Apollo then handed the bottle to Rose. “Enjoy!”

Apollo brought Jack a bottle of a liquid that was boiling. “You sound dehydrated. Drink this, it’s rather cold. It’s not liquid nitrogen, I already gave that to Pandora.”

Apollo looked at the brain scan again. “He’s fine, he’s just been knocked a bit.”
