Apollo watched the water speed past the log. “ Pandora, have you ever done anything out in nature, without technology?”

Apollo lifted up the rock. “Of course not. I’m just going to do something very fun, now grab on.” Apollo threw the rock and cut the kelp, sending the rock into the water and the log forwards at twice the speed it did before. “Woohoo! Logging!”

Apollo put his hand on Pandora’s shoulder assuringly. “Nobody’s expecting you to do anything with it. It’s alright.” Apollo then climbed off the back of the log, trying to push it as far as possible one time. “I think it’ll be much easier if we just do this.” Apollo dived to the bottom of the lake and resurfaced quickly, holding a rock and a string of kelp. “Ok…don’t ever make me do that again. The kelp is 60 feet long, tie it to the log.” Apollo got on the log again and tied it to the rock.

Apollo leaned over the edge of the log and put his face close to the water. “Don’t worry, nothing’s living in there. Just water…”

Apollo began examining Pandora over and over. “I think the experimentation is irreversible, but it’s never too late to start having fun!” Apollo held onto the side of the log and gave it another push before jumping onto it again. “Wow, the water’s like 30 feet down now…won’t be pushing for a while.”

Apollo instinctively held Pandora’s wing out and took the spider gently off her wing, putting it in the water and blasting the log forwards. “Probably enjoying the scenery. Why are you afraid of so many natural things?”

Apollo shrugged. “Fine by me. But this is going on your record.” Apollo then walked into the water and began pushing the log towards the center of the lake, where the ship was. As he continued moving the log, he remembered Andaluza’s question. “By the way, I still think your log is a stupid idea.” Apollo then threw a handful of water at Andaluza’s face.

Apollo looked weirdly at Pandora. “Can’t what? You can fly, but this area has air that is too thin to fly over so either Andaluza’s log or marathon polar bear racing.”

Apollo put Jack on his back and flew down to the lake as well. “And of course, we got the long side. Who’s up for swimming 200 miles right now?”

Apollo rolled his eyes and pointed to the notebook. “That, Pandora, is a rule board. Now I have to find a way to get all of you-” Apollo then recalled that Pandora and Andaluza both had wings. “-I mean just Jack off of this building and back to the lake where we landed our ship. Everyone else fly out the window and down to the ground, the swamp is-” Apollo looked out the window and directly at the sun, his right eye turning white and a beam ejecting out of it towards the end of the atmosphere “-right next door. Let’s go!”

Apollo then began pulling Pandora off of Jack and carrying her back to behind the desk. “Okay, once we get back…Andaluza you put on the rule board.”

Apollo stands in front of the exit and stilts up the busted cage, electrifying one of the poles. “In a few minutes this room will be secure. The pole is a semiconductor, but it’ll cause it to jump. For the time being, let’s hide.” Apollo quickly grabbed Jack, Pandora, and Andaluza, zipping them behind the table.

Apollo stared at Jack. “We need to get him to join us now. He’s acting like a maverick but really comes off as selfish, we need him.”

Apollo laughed at what Pandora said. “They either turn, leave, or quit. Typically don’t die. You’re persistent and that’s what’s cool. Jack’s just exaggerating. You’re not really a newbie anymore, you destroyed a small village already and that’s enough to prove your mettle.”

Apollo snickered and simply hugged Jack. “Good to see you again!”
