(Sorry bout that, then. Never heard of the stuff before. Granted, he’s a much smaller and faster target than the beast, and they weren’t really aiming at him, so he probably wouldn’t be hit.)

Lucas turned to face the camera and pulled his helmet off, revealing the rest of his face. And with a bit of illusory help, what a face it was. He was already a fairly attractive boy, but with his powers active, he was downright beautiful. His medium length blond hair shook out, his eyes glistening as he smiled a smile that, on camera, would get a lot of girls-and maybe a few guys- interested in the news very quickly.

“I am the White Knight. And so long as I’m here, no abomination shall threaten the people of this district. All who try… I shall vanquish by the power of the light!”

Police officers exchanged looks as they talked among themselves “Oh brother…” “Get a load of this guy.” “Oooooh man.” “He serious?” A few officer roll their eyes and a few laugh.

While the camera filmed, some factions began running facial recognition software on him. His face would be in a lot of places, and some people already have his identity.

Tasha spoke “You heard here folks! Looks like there is another proclaimed hero trying to write the wrongs of the city.” People start to gather around from nowhere Paparrazi burst from the crowd trying to bum rush him with questions. She scowls at them and people snap photos of him mercilessly. They all asked questions at the same time and were competitive to put their mics in his face. “Who are you?” “Are you here to save the city?” “What are your powers?” “Do you have anything to say for the people?” “Do you know where that monster came from?” “Sir. are you a time traveling knight from the dark ages?” “Are you from another dimension?”

Leviathan had been fighting and jostling the crowd along with the other frightened civilians. Her oversized backpack blended in perfectly to her cover as a frightened young woman grabbing as much stuff from her home as she could before fleeing the Green District. Of course, as she expected, the police had shown up with all of their violent and forceful tactics as well as one of those dratted “do-gooder” types. From behind safe police lines, she watched the news report by looking into a TV store playing the channel on all of their display television screens with other displaced residents of Green District.

“Hey, he actually pulled it off,” she commented disbelievingly on the self-named “White Knight” when he managed to completely obliterated the enormous monster. Although she didn’t particularly like anyone working on the side of the police force, anyone who defeated monsters and saved the city’s middle-class meal tickets was a good egg in her book. Leviathan just made a mental note to steer clear from him while she was on a burglary job. Her eyebrows rose slightly when he took off his helm and flashed the audience a ridiculously photogenic smile. Powerful, selfless and good-looking? Not only would this be all over the morning press, but she was willing to bet the White Knight would soon be seen on posters, mugs and T-shirts.

After she had gotten her fill of the blond eye-candy and resolved to buy some White Knight merchandise when it became available, Leviathan turned westward to go travel through the remainder of the Green District. It would be a long walk through the middle class region of the city to get to the Arclight District, but the swim was always refreshing, and it seemed a relatively safe place to perform some crime as long as she didn’t go around attracting any of the gangs’ negative attention.

Charlie (as BlackBurn) lands on the roof, folding his painful black metal wing plates down similar to the wings of some fighter jets. He then proceeds to sit on the edge of the building, looking down with hawk like eyes, his vision watching the people below carefully, especially the White Knight.

The fire around him fades and as always he is unscathed by the hot inferno which surrounds him. His hair returns to his regular blond but for how his wings remain featherless and his Blackburn suit still on him.

((Not sure about the facial recognition since his face was modified, but then it was just to make him super sexy, not hide his identity, so maybe it’d still work. Not like he really cares about hiding his secret identity much anyways.))

Okay, yeah, maybe that was a bit much. Lucas let down the heroic posture for a bit and smiled in a more realistic manner, seemingly calm in the sea of cameras. He caught what questions he could and answered them, his voice seeming to resonate just loud enough for everyone nearby to hear, even over the chaos. Who is he? “I’m just a boy with some unusual talents trying to keep people safe.” What are his powers? “I can control light. And I’m pretty good with a sword! But some of my powers are a bit of a surprise.” He winks. Does he know where the monster came from? “This city has a lot of secrets. Perhaps someone sent it out with intents to hurt the city, or maybe it was an experiment gone wrong. I really couldn’t say for sure.” Was he from another dimension? “Um. No. No, I am not from another dimensions. Okaaaay, I think that’s enough questions. Anyone want to see some more of the light show, though?”

It was nearly impossible for the general answer from the crowd to not be ‘Heck yes’, so after a bit of cheering, Lucas stretched his hands up and released a couple balls of light that soared far up into the sky and exploded into something between fireworks, a laser show, and a disco ball. The lights then formed together into a giant white blade, which slashed through the air before dispersing.

And Lucas had gone with it. He simply vanished, then turned himself into an average looking citizen and made his way home. Safely at home, he dispersed his illusions and flopped into bed.

((It might be able to find similar faces, and they can make inferences from there. Though I don’t know what whatsyourface has in mind exactly.))

Jericho kicks the dead body away and takes out a bottle of water to wash his hands of blood from his vicious palm strike. He took flight out of the construction site and flew high and silent in the night sky towards the sewer pipes, the entrance to his makeshift home.

The one room was built into an offset tunnel of the sewage pipes, and covered by a 4 movable wall of steel and stone that only he could move by shifting the steel spikes in the wall and pushing the stone backwards into a crevice for the room to fit in.

    Jericho's home.

In the room was a small computer that had a screen page updated with breaking news and underground websites talking about the latest happenings in Arclight. One of these detailed Martin’s intervention in a gang war and some hero stopping a monster flying around the city, but this was all ignored by him to instead inform his latest client that the j was done, and the proof of kill was in his possession… all through Darknet of course.

Leviathan took a few moments out of her schedule to sit on an abandoned park bench and pull out a box of jumbo ziploc bags. Once she was sure she was alone, Leviathan pulled out each stolen electronic device: three cell phones, a tablet, a small wind-up radio, several clocks with multiple levels of complexity and some small lights as well as basic power tools and digital cameras. She quickly double-bagged each appliance into the plastic bags after disabling any remote tracking devices which might have been installed in the phones or cameras. “Find my phone? I don’t think so,” she cooed to one of the cell-phones as she easily hacked through the pass-code, and deleted the feature before changing the password to something easy such as 1-2-3-4. She also stuffed a hand-towel into one of the bags. Then, Leviathan headed down to the bay area, taking a long walk through the suburban Green District.

At the edge of the water, she double-checked that her bag was zipped tight and then dove into the dark, murky water. The cool rush of brackish water through the gills behind her ears was refreshing after spending so long on shore. Even if the water wasn’t as clean as she would have liked, the sensation was still enjoyable. Leviathan gave a quick dolphin kick deeper into the water and unfurled her long metallic tentacles. The weight from the metal was less burdensome to her underwater, but managed to nicely balance her organic body’s natural buoyancy. She paused in kicking for a moment to allow herself to sink deeper into the muddy depths of the bay area before swimming again. Letting loose a mischievous grin, Leviathan moved her metallic tentacles to give her a quick boost of speed underwater.

Bubbles pooled out of Leviathan’s mouth as she let out a muffled laugh of excitement as she rocketed forward at an incredibly fast speed before slowing to a stop as her momentum gave out. She zoomed quickly along the bottom of the water for a few more moments, sensing the electric fields given off by boats, fish and non-magnetic objects in order to not crash into anything. Then, she settled into a slower rhythm of swimming until she reached the shoreline of the Arclight District. She surfaced from the water with a quick dolphin-like jump, and used her tentacles to hoist herself up onto dry land. She shook herself like a dog and then toweled her body until it was as dry as it could be before heading off to wander about the streets of Arclight. Her plan was to look for some individual and independent buyers before looking for patronage from any of the gangs. She had sold specifically to gangs a few times, but she preferred to do jobs for individuals in order to keep up a reputation as a neutral, faction-less thief. There was nothing, in her opinion, wrong with the gangs, but since her day job might require her to travel through different turfs, it was better to not side too strongly with one or the other.

Still, she felt as though she were finally starting to get habituated to the Arclight District. Its seedy atmosphere meant that she didn’t need to hide the fact that she was a meta-human as much. Her tentacles were bad for business, so they generally stayed tucked into her bag, but it was nice to walk around without being forced to wear veneers over her teeth or a scarf around her ears. “Alright, let’s see what kind of business I can drum up tonight,” she muttered to herself.

Ryviena was sited down on a puff at the floor of the hideout, a comfy yellow room with some arcade machines, a flat screen 70 inches TV, a bar and a giant sofa on the middle, she had a plate with the remains of a giant cheeseburger on the floor next to her and a laptop computer on her lap, she was stretching her new pair of legs when a woman with pink hair and full Kevlar body armor appeared in front of her with a piece of paper “get your sorry ass off this puff Ryv, reports are here” Ryviena blinked and turned her attention to the woman “oh yes Asuza, come closer i have something to show you here…” the pink hair woman gave Ryv a sharp gaze “if it’s that exorcist .gif again i swear i gonna shoot you right between the eyes…again” Ryviena replied with a innocent smile “come on Asuza i would never do something like that to you” she said deleting a .gif archive and opening another “i want to show you the new concept art of the Runners, here have a look” she said turning the laptop to the woman
    Cute Asuza is Cute.jpg
The woman blinked and her cheeks started turning red, Ryviena continued “i was getting tired of simply writing the “plague was here” everywhere feeling something was missing then i found this picture here so…” Asuza was massaging her temples “i can’t believe you still have this stuff there, damn i can’t believe you convinced me to do something like that on the first place…” Ryviena gave the woman a half smile “come on Pinky, we both needed to unwind a little, also don’t tell me you didn’t like the walks on the beach, the nights we passed looking at the stars, walking with arms tied…” Ryviena felt like her head was kicked by a horse, as the woman ably picked a magnum and in a blink of an eye and shot her right between the eyes “don’t call me Pinky” she said with rosy cheeks “okay, okay, sorry, sorry” Ryv said with a apologetic smile while returning to her puff like a cat, there was not even a bullet mark on her face “what i mean is, outside the jokes, you’re one of my best lieutenants, damn you’re fighting along side me since this whole thing begin and…” Asuza sighed “that is not the problem that…the thing is we almost lose you back there…can’t you act a little bit less suicidal?” she said shyly and as she forced herself to look back at Ryviena, she could see the girl getting ready to leap forward in her direction like a cheetah, she aimed her gun at Ryv’s head again “Really? i am seriously not in the mood for your bullshit right now Ryv…” the girl raised her hands in a surrendering manner “lets talk business then” she said with a smile

“Finally” Asuza said picking the piece of paper “From the raid to the hideouts and guns we managed to amass something around 1 million dolars…” Ryviena gave the sandwich a big bite “give it to the Runners they deserve it for the fight well done” Asuza sighed “we lost 29 Runners no causalities within the lieutenants ranks” Ryviena stopped eating “send their corpses to their families and if they need anything they only need to ask me, and if they didn’t have any family we will drink in their honor until we pass out, anything else?”

“Ugh i can’t believe you’re still that childish, the rest is a simple report about the cost of cleaning up the Plaza, those were already deducted from the money we acquired from the raids…” Ryviena smirked “Well news flash Pinky i am still in the age of being childish” *BANG!* “what i told you about calling me Pinky brah?” Ryviena blinked twice while staring at the room’s ceiling from her defeated position at the floor “Uhh…talk about a mature woman…” she said and putted herself back up in a blink of an eye “Hey, Asuza, put the word at the street that i am proclaiming myself as the predominant force here in the Plaza, everyone willing to talk business is welcome to come and see me at the Infernal Nights (the best nightclub in The Plaza’s turf) and of course i want my best man securing the perimeter, you however need to be there with me, you’ll be the face of the yellow runners now after all, so pick a cute nice dress and meet me up there in an hour okay?” Asuza laughed “about time we claimed our supremacy over this turf! going side by side there with you however…” Ryviena made a very convincing pleading face, tears at the corner of her eyes and all “Pleaaaaseee Asuza? for meee?” she said and Asuza growled “Fine! but no dresses!” Ryviena cheered and was about to leap on the woman again, the woman patted her magnum and that made The Plague retreat “Alright lieutenant! Dismissed!” and Asuza leaved mumbling “About time…”

After Asuza leaved Ryv picked a small invitation letter from her pocket, a rat appeared and looked at her in a questioningly manner “Can you please give this to Martin?” if he was anywhere in a area of 100 km² he would receive the following letter:

“Sorry for pestering you again, Boss, but money if what you wish then you would do well in siding with me”

on the next few lines she reminded him that he ordered her to keep things quiet and she was going to do so, instead of starting a turf war she was going to saturate the drug market of The Plaza instead, she explained how why her unique stuff was better, she also explain that she could easily sell other drugs as well with discounts and how she would deny the competition any chance of making profit by doing so

“here is also a little something for the troubles i gave you”
following was a account number and a password, if Martin checked it out he would have full control over a 50 million dollars account

“I am also calling a meeting on the Inferno Nights today, i hope you can attend so we can talk business”

    “signed The Plague”

Charlie looks out across the city before reverting back to his true self.

His hair slowly turns back to blond, it’s blackness seems to seep back into him. The feathers begin to reappear on top of the metal as if nothing had happened to them, though this was a common occurrence with his abilities. he stands and carefully returning to his apartment to pick up some money he heads out onto the street.
He acted nothing like BlackBurn, it was as if as BlackBurn he had confidence, he felt stronger and freer but to him it didn’t matter, he had a small job and the rest of the time he played his music on the street or was doing his act as BlackBurn.

He grabs a small meal from a takeaway and sits on the quieter, not that its much quieter than anywhere else, streets of Haven, looking over the river towards the other side, hearing the sirens blaring in the distance, this wasn’t a problem to him right now. He sat calmly, his only issue being the thought of the next day. In stead of doctors appointments it was more a trip to the lab, as much as he hated those days, which he knew was only a day away.
He tossed the package into the bin and stand walking down alongside the river quietly, taking in his surrounding, trying to unwind and not think of the pains of the coming day.

A while later, he returns to his apartment, crashing on the neatly made bed, doing his best to fold the awkward metal wings of his, if anything he hoped they would at least “upgrade” them. He closed his eyes and let his worries drift away, while dreading the alarm the next morning but that couldn’t be stopped as he sits up rubbing his eyes the next morning. He yawns as he slowly moves from within his covered and goes about his morning routine, preparing and dreading the day.

    (Apologies for being so long)

    –ARCLIGHT DISTRICT–

Martin is alerted to the extra 50 million he receives in his account, but he himself does not care that much about it. Money is simply a tool to him. The compensation lets him know that she is a significant player, but not someone he would partner with. All major gangs naturally already do serve under him, though he does not take the side of any one. It is simply that if he needs them to do something he cannot do, he will ask one of them to do it. However, he sends someone irregardless. One person to see what is happening.

General activity in the Arclight district is quiet. There are some people in the streets, but in this district criminals actually outnumber the amount of law abiding citizens. A lot of gangs congregate here. Even some of them owning and protecting stores. A majority of people were either members of nameless or lower gangs, or members of Los Zotados.

Kraken attracts some stares as some walk by. For a large variety of reasons. Some of them judging by a few devious stares for rather obvious reasons.

Via the Darknet Jericho receives a message for a contract.

    Contract

    Name: Joseph Hernandez

Reason: Caused trouble in our club and wrecked the place.

    Price: 50,000

    Proof of kill: Picture.

Picture : Ripped straight from his facebook

Note: Super strength and toughness. Be sure to destroy the brain. Member of Juan Huerez Cartel. Wouldn’t advise showing face.

    –NEON DISTRICT–

There is a loud bloodcurtling roar heard in the area. It echoes for miles and can be heard throughout much of the city. Some far away don’t notice it, but it is loud enough to the point that every in the entire district is quiet. There is then a crash as a building comes down. Military is already moving out to the area.

People begin running as APCs move by in the streets. F-35 fighter Jets screech through the air towards the district in about 3 minutes.

The news comes on with a woman standing in the western part of the green district, not allowed to be there.

Breaking news! Reports are flooding in the Neon district of some type of large monster attacking the city. Though confirmed to be a threat, there are varying reports of the appearance of the creature. Reports ranging from 30, 50 and even going as large as to say 300 feet tall. Air space above the neon district is currently restricted. More to come later…

The sudden appearance of this creature, whatever it is, caught a lot of people by surprise, and many people who in the threat zone, who are near the creature, are in imminent danger.

Jericho messages back on Darknet stating that he can fufill the contract, all he has to do is grab a camera. In a few minutes his skull make-up has been reapplied and he chooses to don a large dark hoodie that he can use to shadow his face and cover his hair. In a minute he’s out the door again, and on his way to the tech store.

Lights off, no one inside, “Easy.” He says to himself, unlocking the door and short-circuiting the electrical systems so the alarm cannot come on. A quick walk up and down the aisles leads him to exactly what he’s looking for…

It isn’t more than 2 minutes when he’s in and out of the closed store with a durable camera that takes some digital pictures. No one will miss it. Usually his contracts gave him leads on where to go, and who to talk to, but he had heard of a club getting completely wrecked by some large “Roid Monkey” so he guesses that would be the first place to check…

“What was the name of that place again… Shit. Couldn’t have hurt them to put more in their messages. Can’t stand it when they don’t even tell me where to start looking…”

Wait… 50,000 is actually pretty high for what his normal contracts are now that he takes a moment to think about it… Maybe he’ll move out of this district, get a job, since he does know allot about computers, maybe someone in the upper class districts needs an IT guy… He shakes his head out of that train of thought rather quickly. “No time to worry about that now. Job to do. Can worry about that later…” He pushes open the door to the club…

Rivyena entered wearing a red party dress, the reluctant pink haired lieutenant at her side however, was wearing tactical body armor.

It was not the first time Asuza decided protection was better than looking cute, Rivy was all easy smiles while Asuza had her usual killer’s grim, this was also very funny for Ryviena, “Why are you giggling so much, stupid?” the lieutenant asked with a whisper “ehehe, you’ll see” The Plague answered with a wink.

The overall mood in the club was grim, many small gang leaders came but the overall mood was “what the hell this small gang leader think she is?”, after talking with some people she already know, some she didn’t know, and some who clearly didn’t want to know her  she decided the best course of action was dance and drink until the night ended, the song playing at the time was: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvN-f1CNMTI

Some people simply shrugged and minded their own business at the club, taking shots, dancing or simply enjoying the clubs mood, while others frowned and complained, the club was a piece of art, blinking lights and images of angels and demons doing sensual poses at the walls and a big one trying to resemble the Sistine Chapel at the ceiling, she managed to dance a good half of the song before somebody raise a voice to complain, “You, a miserable small gang leader trying to rule over us?” the man shot Rivyena right in the eye “now i am taking this club and everything she owns…” she man stopped when he saw Rivyena still standing on the dance floor “Seriously? Oh well…if you are really that curious i shall tell you” The Plague blinked and it was like nothing hit her eye,she picked her purse and took a handful of coins from it “Asuza, interested in doing some shooting?”

The lieutenant muttered something and injected a fluorescent blue liquid on her veins, her eyes also turned into fluorescent blue before she prepared her MP7, Ryviena threw the hand full of coins, then another and another consecutively, she smirked as her audience eyes turned wide while every single coin fell in the floor with holes “anyone could do this using this amp” the man who shot her said trying to look unimpressed “oh yes, so why won’t take a dose? Asuza give him a shot” the lieutnant’s face twisted into a grim smile as she passed a syringe with the blue fluorescent substance to the man, suddenly he knew what would happen if he used it and tried to deny it “Are you deaf?” Ryviena said with a innocent smile as she picked  her .45 pistol and pointed at the man’s head “I said why don’t you fucking try it?”, everyone knew what would happen next.

“We’re trained and armed to deal with almost any situation on the street, we also have a strong enough chain of production to supply most of your dealers needs, all i ask of you is a percentage of your gains to help maintain my men and keep the production of drugs, i promise no more infighting between the gangs everyone will have their place indisputable on the Plaza, IF someone don’t agree with me, they can end up like this poor sod over here” she said her little discourse while standing next to the man who took the fluorescent fluid shot, he was having a seizure on the floor

(i will wait for @draciosv to rp the reaction of the gangster in the club)

Leviathan  meandered through the streets of Arclight District as she headed towards a particularly seedy old electronics and mechanical shop which she was reasonably sure would purchase her goods. They’d gouge her for prices of course, but any amount of cash on the side would be worth it. A few people gave her nasty looks as she  strolled along, but Leviathan focused ahead of her and tried not to visibly react to any negative attention her fins and teeth gave her. As she made her way around a corner, a baritone voice called out to her, “Hey! Levi! You’re earlier than expected!”  With a toothy grin, Leviathan spun around to see the owner of the aforementioned electronics and mechanical shop. He was around 30 years old or so dressed in jeans and wearing a nerdy T-shirt slightly dusty from leaning against the walls of a decrepit building adjacent to the electronics store. “Sup, Simon? You got some hardware you need taken care of?” She had known this man for the past 3 years ever since she had first begun her thieving career. In exchange for first pick of her goods, a 50% discount and a few special jobs he had personally taught her everything he knew about hacking and computer software.  He chuckled, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose as he invited her into the store and behind the counter to the back. “Untraceable smart-phones have been selling hot lately, so I’ll take as many as you’ve got. Any cameras this sweep?” Leviathan  rummaged through her ziploc bags of merchandise, “Yup. I’ve got three of ’em. Two are digital, and the third is one of them fancy photography cameras.” Simon considered for a moment before purchasing one digital camera and all four of her smart-phones, each one wiped and starting over as a completely new slate.

Once she had pocketed Simon’s money, all given to her in hard cash, Leviathan turned to leave when Simon interrupted her. “Oh, and I’ve got something different I’d like you to take a look at.”  Her gills flared at the stressed word, and she sent him an inquisitive gaze. The store owner handed over a simple cell-phone, “I need this delivered and uploaded to someone’s computer…discreetly. ”   Leviathan squinted at Simon, her eyes narrowed slightly as she took the phone.  “You’re one sick puppy, you know that?” He gave her a slip of paper with the intended address as well. One look caused her eyes to completely narrow to suspicious slits while her gills flared again with distress. “This is in the Artemis District, Simon. That’s…that’s a tall order. Who even is this guy? ”  The man frowned, ” The District Attorney.” He stopped her protests with a hand, “I know, I know. This is difficult, but trust me when I say this guy will be out of a job if we let this get released to the press. He’ll be putty in my hands after this which means you, of course, will benefit too my little protege.”

She sighed, “Alright, but I’ll want some time to plan. This needs to go off without a hitch or I’m toast.” Simon nodded in response, “Yeah. While the sooner the better for this kind of job, take whatever precautions you need so that you don’t get caught. Oh, and you might want to be careful about who catches you with that cell-phone. Wipe it and bring it back to me if it looks like this job will take longer than a month. The files on there will attract some…negative…attention if you hang around with it too long. The punishment for trafficking sensitive images like these is pretty severe. ”  That last phrase worried Leviathan considerably but she nodded. “I’ll do my best.” To try and lighten the mood before she left, Simon called out, “Oh by the way, how’s that suit of yours coming along?” The metahuman girl grinned back in response, “Just got to sell this stuff and make a stop at the hardware store and I’ll be done!” The store owner smiled, “That’s great. You’ve been working hard. Well, don’t get into any unwanted trouble.’

With that, Leviathan left the store and then headed towards one of her favorite restaurants in the district, La Campagne. A street-goer she recognized bought her other digital camera with only a small amount of haggling.  That left her with a variety of basic appliances as well as some more high-end stuff such as:  laser projection keyboards, a USB biometric scanner, a laptop, tablets and other devices suitable for performing untraceable remote hacks as well as the real find of the night: a portable 3D printer.

Having only eaten a small pack of sushi for lunch, all of that swimming and excitement with Mr. White Knight on top of no sleep was leaving her ravenous. “No point in working on an empty stomach, might as well get some chow and see if the clowns want to buy,” she muttered to herself as she entered the restaurant. The electricity manipulator quickly  gave three orders of the fried calamari appetizer to the waitress and began to devour her food once it came while considering the lowest price she would be willing to accept from either the Funny Face Mafia or other people on the street in exchange for not having to deal with the Cartel.

    –ARCLIGHT DISTRICT–

People started staring at her and then people in the crowd stared murmuring. A  roid head (Juan Huarez) stood up.  “Bitch. Who the fuck do you think we are? You think Los Zotados will just lay down to some low-life punk bitch like you? So what you took a fucking bullet. I’ve taken fifty. A hundred. And not one of em pierced.” A FFM member slipped on a full head face masked. An amp lit on fire on his arms. “I’m gonna burn this entire fuckin’ club to the ground ”

FFM members do reveal themselves by putting masks on, and have their weapons on the tables, but do not do anything else, as they watch the large muscle bound man go off as he grabs railing a stair well and rips off a rough 6 foot long metal  chunk.  “Tired of talkin’ to yo ass.” He takes the pole and swings it hard enough at both Rivyena and her body guard with out force to smack a human being away 20 feet and send them away.

(None of the FFM members, nor the 2 Los Zotados members here may be autohit.)

Jericho receives an anonymous text on his phone. It is a picture, and a rather clear one. It is of a map of the city with an address. It is near by the inferno club. It says to be there in 5 minutes to intercept the man and that he has 3 others with him.

Within the same district, a woman with tentacles has walked into the store. She does of course does attract some gazes. Some turn around, accept for mostly any man with a suit. A few of them look like they want her to try something, but, then they return to conversation, looking over at her occasionally. The waiter then says “You got it.” The waiter leaves a bit abruptly, not even asking if she wanted anything else. And then just returns with the calamari as she asked. Which they do serve, this being an Italian restaurant after all. It comes with sweet and sour sauce. “Anythin’ else?” He asks now.

Lucas mulled things over that night. Some stuff had gone rather well. Some hadn’t. Most notable was that more force had responded than he expected. As silly as it sounds, you never really think that when you summon a monster that it’s going to actually be attacked by other people. The police force was some trouble  in that regard. Lucas had made sure to simulate exactly what they’d expect- the foam canisters hitting and exploding. But therein lay the problem- the foam had really kept going and hit buildings and the street. Suspicious, if not for all the chaos around. As it was, the creature was amorphous, so it wasn’t much harm. He’d cleaned up some when he healed the city, and the rest could be chalked up to the foam missing. But next time he would have to be more careful.

He had a few other thoughts too. Perhaps simulating a team in the future would work to his advantage. Knights of the round table or something of the sort. But that would be best if there was something that challenged him other than one of his own illusions. Also, there was a small problem. He couldn’t see from their perspectives. And for his chosen field, vision was very important.

That was a problem that could be taken care of. Lucas pulled a black robe from his closet and heavily remodified his face. Black hair, bright red eyes. A tattoo of a flame under one eye. Then he set out for the Arclight district. There were people there that could whip up exactly the sort of thing he needed.
