On the Frontier
Here’s the scene.
You arrive on the planet Kleomina, a largely unexplored and possibly dangerous planet. You could be here for fame, fortune, or for some other purpose that you may specify yourself, but your here and that’s what matters.
Their is only one place on this planet that can connect you with the rest of the civilized world, and that is the inter-galactic bus station. This station is managed by one man who, could also serve as a helpful guide for the poor saps who don’t know what their doing on this side of the galaxy.
You’ve just came off at this bus station onto the planet.
The planets atmosphere is readily breathable, and the levels of gravity are also relatively comfortable. The majority of the planets environment is forests and plains with occasional anomalous differentiation.
Otherwise, have fun adventuring and don’t forget to pack a lunch!

Dipstick smiles to her, “So, what’s yer name? Mine’s Dipstick!” He offers his hand for a hand shake, “Nice to meet’cha!”

He shakes her hand gently, “Ya’ve got a very beautiful name, Miss Rose,” Dipstick nods to her, “Mine’s jus’ to measure oil!”

*a new bus arrives and a dark skinned woman with sharp features steps off. Looking around, she spots a small building with a man sitting at the desk. She approaches the man* hi….you in charge here?

“Yes, mostly.”

Anythin’ I need to know? Dangerous wildlife? Rules? Natural disasters?

“Hmmm… Dangerous wildlife? Everywhere. Rules? Mostly along the lines of ‘Don’t break my stuff’. Natural disasters? Nothing you need to worry about right now.”
“Their are a number of facilities stemming of from the station, if you need anything. Post office, motel and suites, mess hall etc. Their all ran by auto-clerks though (non self-aware robots that do general tasks).“I was about to say to these folk here that if they didn’t want to go to the cabins they could buy their own rooms.”

Dipstick looks over to the newcomer and smiles, “Well, hey!” He chuckles, “What’s your name?”

“Dipstick,” Dipstick offers his hand to her to shake, “Nice to meet’cha!”

*she shakes his hand firmly* dipstick? New one. Haven’t heard that before.

“Yeah, I get that a lot, heh!” Dipstick chuckles to her, “What do you do?”
