The Second Gunman proceeds to direct his blaze at Jack, lighting a trail of spilled alcohol on fire and catching Jack’s arm. “If you value your continued existence, cease your resistance!”

Jack shouted in alarm as he caught fire, reacting instantly by tackling the lumbering man across the table, the alcohol from the head injury lighting him ablaze too, them both struggling on the floor while flames blazed across them.

Apollo let go of the gunslinger. “Hmm…”

The figure turns around and reveals himself as… Odysseus. He fakes a smile and wipes away the traces of tears from his eyes. “Hello, Faye. The link bonded faster than expected.”

Cy agilely side stepped around Jack, twisting her body to lash out a heavy kick to the man’s chest and shoving the OGA experiment back to decrease the chances of him being harmed. It was clear this Cyborg’s mission was to get rid of the human, and furthermore was going about it in a messy way as her nose was assaulted by gasoline. She slashed toward his head, her computer giving calculations of a 55% chance of a hit. If she could dismember him before throwing the pieces into a garbage disposal that should be the end of that story.

The Second Gunman grabs Jack by the neck, lifting him, and charges through the window, both still on fire, out into the rainy street. He bashes Jack multiple times into the concrete, creating a small crater.

Their flames went out as the man carried them into the rainy streets, smoke wafting from both of them as they continued to struggle, Jack being slammed into the shattered concrete numerous times. He grabbed the man’s face, groaning in exertion as he squeezed, the robotic skull being crushed under his hand.

    “Bas…tard!”

Faye glares at Odysseus, “You…” She takes a few angered steps towards him, “We could have worked together, Oz! Why did you take them away from me…? What was the point!?”

Odysseus grimaces at the name of Ozymandias. “I want to make one thing abundantly clear. I am not Ozymandias. I never was…” Odysseus looks down. “Sit down, please.”

Faye keeps a glare at him, growling at him, “I’d rather stand. In case you try anything against me.” Her eyes were red and leaked tears occasionally.

Apollo takes out the fingerprint. “Andaluza, you’re in charge of the team. I’m going after the gunslinger.” Apollo vanishes, mirroring to the last fingerprint location of the gunslinger. “Well, you almost made a roasted dinner out of my friends. Those revolvers won’t do you any good anymore.”

Glass crunched under her boots as she picked her way carefully through the crowd splitting like the Red Sea. Half the crowd–which had mostly drunks– decided to jog over to the broken window and peer out at the scene with hoots and hollers. The rest of the sane and sober population decided that the back exit accompanied by shrills and screams was the way to go. Cyborg wondered which way she would’ve gone if she were human? Throwing elbows to get her way, she parted the crowd of people to jump out onto the street.

Andaluza nodded and watched Apollo mirror off. “Okay then.”

Odysseus pauses for a moment, then replies briefly. “Fine. But I won’t hurt you.” Odysseus pauses again. “I need your help…”
